Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend – and staying toasty warm, wherever you are! Today we have a pretty wedding from Woodhall Manor in Suffolk. Bride Cara looks beautiful in a sleeveless, lace embroidered dress by Ronald Joyce. Handsome hubby Chris and their nearest and dearest kept it quiet that they’d arranged for Cara’s horse Nero to be brought to the venue on the day, as she’d always dreamed of having him there on her wedding day! The photos, needless to say, are just wonderful. They’re by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Ayshea Goldberg Photography.

I met Ayshea at a wedding fayre and loved the natural relaxed feel of the photos she had taken so I made an appointment with Chris to meet at her gallery to discuss what we wanted and he instantly fell in love with her images too

Getting married abroad will be a dream come true. The joy of blissful sunshine, scenery and a relaxed environment is just so perfect for a wedding – if you’re a destination wedding couple then you are just the luckiest things, truly!

Planning the perfect destination wedding does require a little talent and flexibility on your part when it comes to finding suppliers though! Venue packages might not be quite the right mix for you; overseas planners might not have everything you need. Especially when it comes to wedding photography, do shop around – because the memories of your wedding abroad are so very precious, and it’s really important to find someone to capture your day in a style you will LOVE for years to come.

Hey beautiful! I hope you’re having a lovely week so far. Today I have something special to share with you: stunning Paul Zeni wedding dresses and a wonderfully rich and opulent colour palette of deep plums, dusky pinks and luxe textures. I’ve a feeling you’re going to tumble head over heels in love with this shoot – I know I have! Thanks to lovely Sophie Oldhamstead Photography for sharing this with us! Sophie worked with a whole bunch of talented Essex wedding creatives – you’ll find a full list at the end of the feature.

I was totally inspired by a selection of Paul Zeni dresses and their focus on beautiful fabrics and embellishments and felt compelled to orchestrate a styled shoot which would allow us to explore a focus on simple foundations but with a modern, delicate twist.

Turquoise Holidays honeymoon advice

A guest article by Turquoise Holidays

We know what it’s like. After the wave of excitement of your engagement has settled down, your mind turns to planning your wedding. While that’s a huge and important project, at Turquoise Holidays we believe your honeymoon also needs that kind of attention early on. But it’s hard to know where to even start – the destination, style of honeymoon, budget and activities are all common topics couples discuss. We try and answer some of those questions, so you can get your honeymoon plans off to a flying start…

1. What is the best way to plan a honeymoon?

We’d recommend writing down a list of three things that are on each of your bucket lists. Then, look to find somewhere that ticks a few, if not all, of these boxes. Establishing a budget early on will help narrow down your search further, as well as looking at the various good weather windows for the destinations you’re considering. Taking all those factors into account will mean you’re not overwhelmed when you’re looking at where to go and what to do!

Morning lovelies! I have a fun and unique blog to share with you today – all based around the idea of a couple eloping – and taking their beloved dog with them! This is soooo cute and I just love the idea. I’m all for elopements anyway (it’s totally what I’d do!) and the addition of Indy the Hungarian Vizla just makes this all the more adorable.

Images are by Iconik Photography, the venue is Trenderway Weddings and the day was styled and planned by Hannah’s Weddings & Events. The lovely film of the day is by Kate Fierek. See the full supplier list below!

Natalie from Iconik Photography told me, “A dog can be very much part of the family and therefore should play an important part in life’s important events! Elopements are the ideal way of shaking off the “frills” of a large wedding and concentrating on just the two of you. Very much your wedding your way!

Inspired by London wedding photographer and confetti-moment-nailer Jordanna Marston

When I’m asked about wedding traditions, the one golden oldie I can’t let go of is confetti. I bloody love it: the joyful moment when you’ve said your vows, finished the nervous bit of the day and are finally surrounded by your guests – and then a rainbow of bits of loveliness is released into the sky for you. It looks amazing – it looks like it feels amazing! And you know what? I always find myself grinning back at the screen when I see a brilliant confetti photo. Right now, I have face ache from smiling at the gorgeous pics we’re decorating this blog post with!

It has been a whirlwind of a week here at English Wedding HQ! I’ve typed up a 105-page modern calligraphy workbook, written a gold ink wedding table plan and menus for a November wedding, and planned in a bunch of gorgeous real weddings for the autumn – so I’m mega happy it’s Friday today! Having gorgeous couple Charlotte and Dexter on the blog makes it even more special – this is an AMAZING wedding and I just know you’ll love these two – I mean just look at this stunning golden hour photo!!!

All of their styling touches are minimal, neutral and clear – the cake is an absolute showstopper – created by Bake My Cake, it has all neutral tiers, but one tier to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Topped with handmade sugar flowers, and with a personalised crest with Charlotte and Dexter’s initials on one tier, it’s just beautiful!

Booking your wedding entertainment is a process. There is a lot to think about, but it can also be one of the most enjoyable and exciting parts of your wedding planning!

There is something special about live music in particular at a wedding. It can generate so much energy and emotion in a room. With this in mind, it’s a good idea to put a lot of thought into what questions you ask your wedding venue before you choose your perfect wedding band.

We loved reading this post with 5 questions to ask a wedding venue and it inspired us to come up with 5 new ones!

If you are yet to start your wedding entertainment search, here are 5 more important questions you need to ask your venue before you book entertainment.

1. Do I have to choose from your supplier list?

Some wedding venues only work to a specific supplier list when it comes to live music and wedding entertainment. Because of this, you need to make sure you are allowed to bring in your own band or entertainers from outside the venue before you book.

Hey lovelies! I have a super pretty, feminine and romantic wedding to share with you today. Emma & Paul were married at Moxhull Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield in the summertime. They were blessed with glorious sunshine, and I especially loved seeing all the handmade decorations Emma had made – there is definitely a blush pink roses / hoops theme going on and together it all looks so pretty!

We have been to lots of weddings where Damian was hired as the photographer. We were absolutely delighted with his photos!!! I got goose bumps when we first saw them,  as Damian captured so many things we missed on the day.

Today’s feature is for all of you looking for a beautiful engagement ring – and we’re talking about stones which are sparklier and rarer than diamonds, ethical and sustainable, and about 90% more affordable. How amazing does that sound?

We’re talking moissanite – or moissy, as it’s affectionately known by some! If you’re not familiar with moissanite, I’m thrilled to be introducing you to it here on English Wedding, and I hope I can win your hearts with this beautiful, ethical diamond alternative today! Moissanite engagement rings are the future – and I want you to fall in love with them.

Let’s get over diamonds first. Our parents’ generation had little choice – a diamond was a diamond, the most precious gemstone of its time, the sparkliest stone you could get, and the only alternative was a coloured gemstone. Diamonds were mined, and their origins fell somewhere between bearable and intolerable, with awareness of conflict diamonds coming as late as the millennium. Diamonds may be certified conflict-free these days, but they’re still mined by workers whose pay could never afford them a diamond ring of their own. Thought-provoking, hey?
