Why hello there you beautiful thing you! I am so excited to share today’s gloriously romantic wedding with you! Our gorgeous couple Rosie and Chris had chose to say their ‘I dos’ in a sunny woodland setting with an amazing atmosphere, at the beautiful Blaithwaite House in Cumbria. Their styling and theme was relaxed with outdoor themes including greenery, upcycled wood and the most magical personal touches. Blaithwaite is a beautiful estate set in 250 acres of Cumbrian countryside. Rosie and Chris were married in front of ‘Mary Jane’s Summer House’, a beautiful building from the Victorian era situated on a little island surrounded by water. They told me it’s an absolutely breathtaking setting for a wedding, and I couldn’t agree more – I just know you’ll love this!

With human damage to the environment increasingly under the microscope, more and more couples are planning eco-friendly weddings in a bid to cut down their carbon footprint, and it’s not hard to see why.

According to the Green Bride Guide, the average wedding can rack up a massive 400lbs of waste and a frightening 63 tonnes of CO2 – the same amount that five people would produce in an entire year!

Additionally, research from EventMB and MeetGreen suggests that wedding guests can throw away up to 1.16kg of waste that goes into landfill. As you begin to do the maths on the number of guests you want to celebrate your special day with you, the amount of waste really begins to add up. This all has a severe impact on the environment.

Gorgeous couple Madeleine and Andrew celebrated their wedding at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire in November. Theirs was an elegant autumnal English wedding packed full of personal touches, with black tie dress for the boys and our stunning bride in a classic and beautiful Suzanne Neville dress, purchased from Ellie Sanderson in Beaconsfield. The flowers are warm, colourful and perfectly arranged; the photographs of their day just exquisite – they’re by Katherine Yiannaki Photography.

We loved Katherines classic yet relaxed style of photography. She was recommended through a family friend

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

Absolutely- Katherine was great to have around on the day, making Andy and I feel really relaxed. It really helped that she included a pre wedding shoot as part of her package so we could get used to the camera and made it run really smoothly on the day. The shots are beautiful and timeless, and we shall treasure them forever

Alongside the necktie, the classic pocket square has become a quintessential component in formal accessorising, especially at ceremonies and receptions, where guests often include it as part of their wedding suits to add a splash of colour and subtle sophistication.

But it’s true that many don’t understand the most common methods for folding a pocket square or handkerchief, often resulting in a ruffled mess poking out jacket pockets.

In this guide we will tell you about the three most popular methods for folding a pocket square, alongside a step-by-step guide, so you can easily utilise them for your next wedding appointment.

Presidential pocket square fold

This is perhaps the cleanest and simplest option, helping you complete an outfit that is crisp, elegant and smart.

The Presidential pocket square fold displays a flat horizontal line atop the breast pocket and is a preferred option for less flamboyant yet formal occasions.

Popularised by TV shows like Mad Men, this style suits the classic black tie suit, but can equally work with a herringbone suit.

Daisy & Alex tied the knot at Lakeview Manor in Devon, on a beautifully sunny day in June. Their style is neutral glam, with so many beautifully elegant details, from Daisy’s breathtaking Willowby by Watters dress (from The Ivory Secret Bridal Boutique) to the mini rose gold bauble place card holders and eucalyptus sprig place settings. Oh, and don’t miss the bouncy castle photos towards the end of the post… they are just so uniquely brilliant and Daisy’s face is a picture!

As you may know, I write calligraphy for weddings when I’m not in my blogging shoes, and the last couple of weeks have been super busy with some updates to my collections.

I have had my little Etsy shop since 2013 and in that time I’ve written for hundreds of couples’ weddings. But some of my wedding stationery had been on there the whole time – yes, the whole entire seven years – and was beginning to look a little 1990s around the edges. (I might be overly critical; maths sure as hell ain’t my thing. But yeah, it looked OLD!)

So in January I decided a real overhaul was in order. And I set to photographing, editing and uploading some of the bits and pieces I’ve written for lovely couples over recent months: the vellum paper place names, the torn edge on-the-day stationery, oh, and my favourite: the pebble wedding favours I love writing for people!

Morning lovely! I have been looking forward to sharing this beautiful wedding with you – Corinne and Paul tied the knot at The Green in Upton Cross, in Cornwall. Their intimate wedding was family friendly – with even their adorable pooch playing flower girl! The theme was late summer, rustic countryside and Corinne’s lovely Augusta Jones wedding dress is wonderfully elegant with fabulous movement (see the dancing pics!) and pretty ivory flowers down the back. It’s a beautiful wedding with some wonderfully romantic moments, and I’ve a feeling you’ll love this as much as I do!

Alexa was lovely. We met 9 months earlier and had an engagement shoot, we really liked her style. We were over the moon with our images, she really captured the day like a storybook. It was like re-living our special day all over again. Alexa knew the venue well also which helped 🙂

Happy weekend, lovelies! Today we’re reminiscing a little as we head back to autumn for a wonderfully colourful wedding at Layer Marney Tower. The florals are bold, vibrant, and quite breathtaking. Emily and Philip are absolutely gorgeous together, and the story of their dreamy wedding is captured beautifully by lovely Ayshea Goldberg Photography.

We met Ayshea, or at least her photos, at a wedding fair at Layer Marney Tower. We unfortunately missed her on the day but i picked up her brochure. They were the only pictures I kept coming back to.
After a couple of weeks I decided to message and speak to her in person.
The great points on paper for hiring Ayshea were that she knew the venue, was local and had some great reviews as well as proven pictures. However, after speaking to her, the passion she shows for her role on your day is beyond what you would expect. She loves to meet people and is a pleasure to be around. After that there wasn’t a choice on who we needed to capture our day
