The loveliest suppliers for Hannah & Sean’s Merewood wedding in the Lakes, with Jaye-Peg Photography

A beautiful little wedding overlooking Lake Windermere today – with some favourite Lake District wedding suppliers all highly recommended by gorgeous couple Hannah & Sean. One of our favourite Lakes wedding photographers, Jaye-Peg Photography, is a regular at Merewood Country House and her natural, relaxed images are just perfect for this lovely pair. I have to mention the flowers – with another fabulous review for Katie at Made In Flowers, their gentle purple and green tones are exquisite, summery and romantic. The venue couldn’t be lovelier, with breathtaking lake and mountain views – and one of Jaye’s spectacular jetty images! Hannah & Sean have also recommended their local wedding cake designer The Icing On The Cake, and Hannah’s lovely hair & make up artist Fi Farrelly from Manchester.

Recommended: Lake District wedding photographer Jaye-Peg Photography

Jaye Adams (Lake District wedding photographer Jaye-Peg Photography) was absolutely brilliant.
Most impressively, she made Sean feel at ease in front of the camera which is a minor miracle in itself.
She had us laughing, relaxing, and enjoying the time we spent taking couple photos. Capturing our moments was one of the most important parts of the day for me, and Jaye delivered everything I hoped for and more.
The photos are beautiful, creative, and something we’ll treasure forever.

Our wedding venue
Merewood Country House Hotel – the perfect wedding backdrop, overlooking Lake Windermere

Merewood is a beautiful, intimate hotel and wedding venue with fantastic views that made the perfect backdrop for our day.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
All the food was provided by the hotel from a fantastic seven course menu to a lovely afternoon tea and everything was delicious.
Merewood was the perfect venue for our small, close-family-only wedding, and it made such a difference being able to have everyone stay under the same roof with us for a couple days.

Our wedding outfits
I wore a long, elegant ivory dress with a soft, flowing silhouette that felt romantic and timeless. The style had that perfect mix of simplicity and detail, enough to feel special without being fussy.
My bouquet tied everything together with gorgeous pops of purple, which ran through our whole theme.
Sean wore a sharp blue suit with a crisp white shirt and a purple tie which looked amazing against the natural setting.

Our amazing Lake District wedding suppliers
Beautiful, bespoke wedding flowers – Made in Flowers
Katie Davies at Made in Flowers, Kendal

Katie was brilliant and such a joy to talk to.
I didn’t have any specific flowers in mind, just a vision of a wildflower garden feel with a splash of purple running through the theme and she completely nailed it.
Everything Katie created was gorgeous, natural, and exactly the vibe I imagined.
Fi Farrelly – wedding hair & make up artist from Manchester
Fi was absolutely lovely.
She did both mine and Mom’s makeup, and we spent hours together without a single awkward quiet moment.
She’s so kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely calming to be around.
Fi created soft, natural looks for us both, and she completely nailed the brief of making me look like the best version of myself, still very much me, just glowing on my wedding day.

Wedding cake – The Icing on the Cake, Kendal

I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting Debbie in person, but she created the most beautiful cake that fit perfectly with our simple, elegant theme. It looked so stunning that I genuinely felt bad cutting into it. She absolutely delivered exactly what I hoped for.
