It’s not often I get to blog an editorial I was a part of – so today I’m more excited than ever to share this stunning collaboration by the loveliest group of people I’m delighted to call friends. (They’re all incredible talents too!) I really hope this will inspire you to use colour to create a wedding look with real heart and soul! Ash from In The Meadow Floral Design came up with the gorgeous concept for this wedding look with rich, vibrant flowers full of texture and fun, in the most amazing colour palette. Images are by lovely, talented Lake District wedding photographer Hannah Hall Photography, at Holesfoot in the Eden Valley. My calligraphy plays a little part, dressed in purple and gold.
A sunny day at the edge of winter brings so much joy, don’t you think? Skies full of sunshine always make me smile – and today they’re turning my thoughts to sunny summer weddings. It’s a treat to be sharing this elegant photoshoot, sent in by Daniel Franchina Weddings, which is all about inspiring YOU to bring sunshine into your wedding styling! The pops of lemon and delicate blues on Riva Events’ cake and stationery are a wonderful palette reminiscent of Sicilian summertime. Paperpom PVM’s giant flowers as a backdrop are divine – they’re available for hire and very highly recommended! Gorse Hill Hotel lends a timeless feel and models Hailey and Andy are gorgeous and sophisticated as can be.
Today’s winter wedding inspiration is a treat to be able to share with you. The floral styling is absolutely perfect, using carefully chosen blooms for a bouquet and arrangements which are full of character, while using the most minimal of colour palettes. This is winter wedding style at its best, created by a talented group of wedding suppliers at Huntsmill Farm, and with images by lovely Rose Rae Photography.
Planned and Organised by Flamingo and Fern, Winter Sky is a fresh, modern interpretation of a timeless aesthetic, offering couples a stylish yet approachable look for their special day.
I read on instagram last week that there’s no such thing as ‘timeless’… and then this absolute beauty of an editorial landed in my inbox. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, endlessly romantic and with a stunning contemporary twist.
I’m in awe of the creative team who sent in this fabulous photoshoot, and I hope it will inspire some of your own weddings! With images by talented Melanie Barnfield Photography, who specialises in wedding photography with an organic, natural aesthetic, and words by Devon wedding planner Laura at Kept Weddings, this utterly fabulous photoshoot defines timeless.
Winter weddings have a unique magic all of their own. There’s something wonderful about warm candlelight, especially paired with a darker wedding cake and dramatic stationery. The hues of winter hellebores and the gentle sparkle of taper candles, with polished glassware and late autumn foliage are simply breathtaking here. The venue, a gem in the Lake District: Ghyll Barn is located in the Eden Valley. Images are by utterly brilliant, ridiculously talented and bloody lovely Lakes wedding photographer: Hannah Hall, based in Kirkby Stephen.
