Let’s start with a note here that jokes are absolutely not just for the best man. Anyone at a wedding can make a speech; you may have a ‘Best Person’ instead, or the bridesmaids / bridesmen might team up and give a cracking speech which has the room in stitches. Traditionally, the (best man’s) funny speech is the one people are really looking forward to, so we thought it would be fab to share some real life favourites with you – and with fab photos by English Wedding member Nathan at Libra Photographic. Grab a cuppa, and have a chuckle (or a groan) at these golden moments!

Doing things differently will make your wedding unforgettable. I’ve been so excited to share Olivia & Andy’s day because they changed every expectation about what a wedding ‘should’ be. Their ceremony location is incredible, but not only that: they were married at sunrise. Every little bit of this wedding is just amazing, and we just know you’ll love it. We’ll share photos over the weekend on our instagram – do follow @englishweddingblog and of course the couple’s fantastic Cambridge wedding photographer @damien_vickers_photography as well!

On International Women’s Day, I felt this was worth talking about more than anything else a wedding blog could cover. It’s a message we need to absorb, share and repeat again and again. Because the answer is very often no. Wedding photographers aren’t safe at weddings. Shockingly often, female, trans and non binary wedding photographers are bullied, harassed, threatened and assaulted.

A glorious summer wedding in the garden of England, with romantic floral styling and incredible photography. Eppie is a stunning bride in a Maggie Sottero dress from Grace and Lace, and Jamie is ever so handsome in a classic navy suit. All of the images are by talented Kent wedding photographer Benjamin Toms. Ben gets a glowing review from the lovely couple – do keep scrolling to see more.
