Rey & Roanne’s chic and timeless Camden wedding with Trilion Productions
I was over the moon when Nik from Trilion Productions got in touch to share this lovely little micro wedding with us. Gorgeous couple Roanne and Rey were married on Roanne’s birthday in July, celebrating with closest family and friends – and their adorable little boy is the star of the show! Roanne’s dress is wonderful for a summer wedding, with a beautiful skirt silhouette – I love it! Styling was kept elegant and minimal, with a simple calla lily bouquet. I fell in love with this wedding for the glorious images, and the joy and love which shines so strongly through the images. In 10, 20, 50 years time looking back on this day will be as perfect as any big wedding could ever be. Congratulations Roanne & Rey, we LOVE your wedding!

How did you choose your photographer?
We met our photographer thru Bidvine app.
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Nik was amazing. He shot our pre wedding photos as well and we loved it. He was friendly, and has maintained his professionalism all throughout the shoot. My husband and I were both camera shy and he didn’t made it awkward for us to pose. The photos came out as natural as it could possibly be, plus they were all high quality.
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
The wedding venue was Tavistock House in Camden. We had our reception at the rooftop of the building we’re staying at. Ordered food trays from a friend. We had the perfect view and the perfect weather. It was such a great time to enjoy food and drinks with close friends.
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
I started browsing wedding dresses/gowns on Pinterest just months before the wedding. Luckily, I found a nice design which gave me the feeling that this would be the perfect dress for me. Although unsure of the sizing, I pushed it through. I told myself if the dress won’t fit me, I would still have enough time to go dress shopping at Westfield. The dress was delivered to me in a week and it fitted me well. I saved myself from the hassle of going to the physical stores and trying on every dress I feel like.
My husband and my son bought their suits at Westfield two weeks before the wedding. They have matching shoes too! Twinning is the way to go.
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
I ordered artificial flowers and some lace online, and I did my own wedding bouquet, plus my husband’s boutonniere.
Did you hire a wedding planner?
No wedding planner since I don’t feel like it’s needed in a courthouse wedding. It was a quick 20-30min intimate ceremony.
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
Our cake was baked by my husband’s friend. It was the best tasting cake! And affordable too!! The cake topper was ordered online. We just did the traditional cake cutting and nothing else. We’re saving the first dance for back home, in front of our families and close friends.
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
I made our invites online and sent them online as well, as we have limited the number of people attending due to Covid. We only had 10 guests in total. (All were tested negative of Covid from the rapid test)
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
No wedding vows said. We are having a church wedding in the Philippines on 2023 and that’s where we’ll state our vows.
How did the pandemic affect your wedding plans? Do you have any advice to share with couples planning their weddings right now?
We were supposed to have our church wedding in the Philippines this year, but it was included on the red list countries from UK. They require 14 days quarantine upon arrival to PH and 10 days hotel quarantine upon arrival to UK, plus a payment of £1750 for the hotel and tests. We only have 2weeks annual leave and we both figured it’s best to re-schedule the church wedding. It was a struggle planning a wedding in the middle of pandemic and we were blessed enough to have successfully done an intimate courthouse ceremony here in London. We just have to look in the brighter side of life and believe everything will fall in the right place.
