This is epic! After being together for 33 years, Sandra & David tied the knot in 2020. “The pandemic actually made us get married, by thinking more of what really mattered. We never wanted a big wedding, so with limited guests this was perfect… I would say if anyone was planning to get married now just do it, everything happens for a reason. A big party can always be later.”
This one’s special. Every once in a while I’m sent a wedding which absolutely blows me away – the romance of it all, the couple, the photography and the styling – and it goes STRAIGHT into my secret favourite weddings folder, ready to share again at Christmas. And on that note… hello Laura & Rob! These two just smile all day long. Their (safely before covid) wedding is joyful, beautiful and deliciously elegant with stunning styling touches. And a little surprise – well, a big surprise – instead of a wedding car. It’s like the biggest alternative-to-a-wedding-car we’ve ever seen, and it’s extra wonderful because of the story behind it. Oh, and one of our fave photographers gets a glowing review from the happy couple: lovely Midlands wedding photographer J S Coates was a big part of Laura & Rob’s day, and his photos are just incredible. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Featuring English Wedding members Candice at So Blooming Beautiful and bridal designer Felicity Westmacott, this inspirational shoot is absolutely stunning. The florals are out of this world; the dip dye wedding dress so fabulously colourful and unique! I was chatting on email to Candice about this shoot, and she told me “I love working with Felicity, we are like two mad creatives together… she is such a talent! I am glad she has joined English Wedding.” And honestly, this super talented pair are a dream team – I hope you adore this shoot as much as I do! I’ll let them tell you all about it!

It’s been wonderful this weekend to see weddings going ahead again, and we’re feeling really positive for the summer now. Just to have celebrations back is EVERYTHING – and the joy from couples and photographers on our insta is REAL! We have everything crossed for the summer months returning (safely) back to normal. Here at English Wedding we’ve learned that flexibility is key. Being able to make changes at short notice is essential – despite the roadmap out of lockdown stating that by June 21st the number of guests allowed at wedding ceremonies will be unlimited, it’s important to remain open-minded that this could change depending on how the pandemic plays out in the upcoming months.
I fell down a little instagram hole looking at wedding fairs yesterday! I’m so happy to see they’re back – and the buzz around this weekend’s events is real! Yay!
Here’s one we recommend – not least because lovely Norfolk wedding photographer (and English Wedding member) Neil Senior Photography will be there on Sunday.
The wedding fair at Bressingham Hall takes place on the 23rd of May, and it’s going to be a lovely opportunity to finally meet and chat to your Norfolk wedding suppliers face to face!
