Today is the first of a two part feature from a talented group of wedding creatives. This beauty of a shoot was sent in by lovely Rosie from Raw Bridal, and we love it to bits! An inspirational wedding setup, designed to show you how to create a stunning look for your modern wedding.

The images in this post are all by Megan Donati Photography, but as there were two photographers on set we’ll be sharing images by Sasha Lee Photography in tomorrow’s blog. Each set is as beautiful as they are different, so do pop back tomorrow to see this gorgeous inspiration in a completely different light! (literally!)

We’re in love with the warmth of Megan’s stunning images, which are just perfect for this beautifully styled candlelit wedding reception.

Thanks to Rosie from Raw Bridal for sharing this dreamy inspo with us on English Wedding.

“This was a summer energy inspired wedding shoot, using the colour theme all the way through from the stationery, candles right through to the wedding cake, macarons, lollies and even the flowers using pinks and caramels.

The models we used were a real couple using summer styled boho chic bridal dresses from Grace Loves Lace and groom in matching pink waist coat and tie.

The makeup look we’re sharing today features powerful and pigmented glowy eyes and natural glowing skin, layering blusher all the way to the bridge of the nose, finishing with faux freckles and highlighter, not forgetting the collar bones. Changing lip from night and day.”

Just one tiny little detail can make your wedding look amazing. Today’s shoot gathers them all beautifully together – from a twinkling fairy light canopy to floral meadows and delicate floating candles for a romantic, luxury wedding look.

The photography sings of summertime and blissful light. We’re in love with fine art wedding photographer Natalie D‘s images, which capture the essence of this shoot so beautifully.

The shoot was curated and styled by the tremendously talented London wedding planner Illy Elizabeth Weddings, with the most wonderful eye for detail and specialising in effortlessly elegant, luxury wedding style. The team worked closely with a brand-new UK venue – Greentrees Estate in the South of England. The result is a high-end luxury editorial that showcases British botanicals alongside elements that couples can easily incorporate on their wedding day.

Sustainability is important to us at English Wedding, so we’re always thrilled to share British botanicals and flowers with you. The floral styling is stunning – with creeping foliage framing the wonderfully light windows of Green Trees Estate, it’s truly beautiful.

Within the botanical styling, the tiniest details are exquisite: white foxgloves paired with cow parsley (and I think willow stems?) evoke country lanes, with anemones and blush roses adding wow factor. The overall look is incredibly romantic, and beautifully balanced for a breathtaking luxury wedding in the heart of the English countryside.

Lyn Ashworth is a UK bridal brand with a showroom in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. If your budget allows, please do consider buying your wedding dress from a UK designer – for the beauty and quality of design but also to reduce the carbon footprint of your wedding. The newest collection from Lyn Ashworth will be Mabel, and we’re over the moon to see two dresses from The Mabel Collection in today’s luxury wedding editorial!

The team used delicate florals tones including different shades of pink and blush that were put together by Tony Dunn Flowers. “We wanted to ensure that we used English sourced botanicals where possible. We wanted to create an ambience to overall look of the editorial, so opted for a bespoke fairy light canopy to be installed over the table design. You will see the floral meadows featured with self-contained floating candles, which most wedding venues in the UK request you use, instead of a naked flame.”

We hope that you love this luxury wedding editorial as much as we loved creating it.

Gorgeous couple Emma and Tyler are making us smile LOTS – they look fab and they both absolutely shine in this shoot! They’ve captured the vibe of a micro wedding or intimate elopement, where you can enjoy special moments spent together without a huge crowd of wedding guests to please!

Huge thanks to lovely Kay from PKay Bridal for sending this our way, and a special mention for super talented English Wedding member Vicki from Vicki’s Floral Designs, whose colourful arrangements are lighting up our screens and lifting our hearts right now!

This is a small Garden Party style set up, with a chill out vibe in the Essex countryside. This semi festival theme is perfect for an intimate or micro wedding, with outdoor space and child entertainment area.
The rich autumn colour palette that is a mixture of warm sunlight and bonfire could help warm up this cold winter. A rich vibrant colour of the autumn sun and fall leaves.

We absolutely loved working with these endearing and quirky colours… a Wild Country style bouquet, with hints of orange and red – which really brings the wooden rustic style settings to life, and the dark champagne colour suit that plays so well with an orange tie.

Emma wears a classic, simple, elegant wedding gown with exquisite bolero lace and pearl details. We went for classic deep red lips to lift up her beautiful pale complexion, this is also matched with details on bouquets and ribbons.
We decide to have Emma’s hair up as it was very windy and we also wanted to show off the dress’s details. We create some braided details and left lots of loose curls to help soften up her look.

Fabulously elegant, modern and fun wedding inspiration from a talented group of suppliers and a gorgeous model couple at Moggerhanger Park. Today’s shoot was sent in by English Wedding member by Karolina Photography, and we’re absolutely smitten. The details are a perfect mix of soft and dramatic, the florals amazing and the dress by our lovely dressmaker member Felicity Westmacott is absolutely out of this world!

The inspiration for this editorial shoot came from the elegance and a modern touch that black can bring to the styling of a wedding without making it too alternative or themed.

Photographer Karolina is a self-confessed lover of using the colour black in weddings and wanted to show how it can be done using muted colours alongside metallic finishes. This allows the black touches to shine through creating a perfectly complemented final look with a beautiful contrast of the black. Karolina photographed the couple as if it was a real wedding day, made sure to make it fun with champagne pop and cackesicles, relaxing and intimate too.
Wedding planner Eleanor joined the team of amazing suppliers to help bring this vision to life. As a Wedding Planner & Stylist based in Buckinghamshire, Eleanor was excited to get creative with this talented team along with the help of Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co.
Moggerhanger Park served as the perfect backdrop, with its neutral exterior, contrasting black-framed arch windows which allowed the light to flood in. The different areas of this beautiful venue from the wow-factor staircase and landing to the walled garden, extensive grounds, and countryside views are what drew us to this venue.
Our beautiful bride Eloise wore a bespoke hand-made dress and veil by Felicity Westmacott.

Felicity designed and made this bespoke gown called ‘Celeste’ for Eloise in layered silver satin, sequins and flowing soft tulle. With hints of art-deco and boho-chic, the dress was designed to be timeless and modern.
Felicity created the dress in two layers, the sparkling underdress is perfect for an evening party while the flowing tulle overdress transforms the look for an ethereal bride.
The silver underdress with hints of Downton Abbey has a bodice with relaxed pleats into the waist, emphasised with a pretty beaded belt. Pretty scallop-edged sequin lace extends from the tiny, off the shoulder sleeves into the bodice pleats. More sequins creep across the sheer tulle that fills the deep v-neckline.

A dramatic necklace of diamante, pearls and Swarovski crystals extends from the shoulders and fills the open back. The underdress has a slimline skirt with a daring split to the thigh.
The tulle overdress is made from pale ivory soft tulle that cascades in two layers from the shoulders nipped in at the waist by a grosgrain ribbon belt. The tulle hangs in a soft cowl around the back necklace and dramatic waterfall open-sleeves over Eloise’s arms.
The skirt is softly gathered from the waistline and features a split on one leg to match the underdress. A constellation of pretty diamante stars on the belt finish this look.
Felicity made a matching cathedral veil in plain soft tulle to compliment the dress and headpieces.

The groom Tom wore an all-black outfit including a shirt, tie, and suit which was complimented by the buttonhole that matched the bouquet and other florals. All black attire for a groom complemented the overall look of the couple with beautiful contrast.

Hair and Makeup Artist Ema, created an understated, glowing look for Eloise’s make-up and iconic Hollywood waves. To complement the look, hair accessories were provided by Rachel Chaprunne.

Our talented florist Laura created the most vibrant bouquet with dark tones which was tied with burnt orange and black hand-dyed silk ribbons. The floral arrangements with a mix of dried and fresh elements were made specially to be able to move them to different areas of the venue as we needed to. We placed them beside Debbie Coe Celebrant – for the ceremony, moved them outside to dress the peacock chairs from Victoria + Claire and then repurposed them for the wedding breakfast table too.

Providing the décor & styling items for the day with their extensive collection, Victoria + Claire arranged several bottles and bud vases along the centre of the large table to allow all the colours in the theme to be showcased without it feeling too busy. Black glassware and candles brought the black element back once again. The large tablescape was brought to life by the decor and the space that it provided gave a grand overall look.

We added grey, botanically dyed napkins by Willow & Ribbon and geometric gold chairs by Rosetone Event Furniture to complete the look and bring a modern edge.
Created by Tracey from Tiggityboo Wedding Stationery, the stationery featured a bespoke design of floral elements on a white textured card with contrasting black envelopes. The set included Save the date, Invitation, RSVP and Information cards.

The stars of the show were the cakes and desserts made by Parul from Silverleaf Cake Company. Parul wanted to showcase several designs within the black elegance, metallics and neutral colour palette. She created a perfect contemporary style wedding cake with elegant muted gold bas-relief detailing, accompanied by an array of mini-cakes and matching cakesicles and doughnut favours for the tables.

All of the suppliers came together perfectly and created this beautiful black inspired wedding scenario for the couples to see how no one should be scared to incorporate black into their wedding day.

We are head over heels in LOVE with this gorgeous styled shoot at Kelham Island Museum with real life couple Richard and David. The guys are gorgeous, the styling is dark and decadent with lush greenery and dramatic tones. Stunning stationery sets the scene and an enchanting array of sweet treats looks wonderfully tempting. Richard and David look amazing, rocking Master Debonair suits – and David’s gold crown is an absolute showstopper. Before we dive in, let me say we don’t get nearly enough LGBTQ+ weddings and shoots in our submissions inbox. Today is making us incredibly happy – and we want to see more! Huge thanks to lovely Sam, English Wedding member at Fantail Designer Florist, for sending this in. There’s a full supplier list below for all of you Yorkshire couples!

A natural and rustic wedding breakfast table setting on long trestles, peacock chairs and benches. Beautiful swagged velvet cloth sweeping through the middle of the table added texture and a focal point for the flowers and stunning square wedding cake with floral moulding to the edges.

Raffia placemats wrapped with gold and an elaborate dessert table filled of doughnuts, iced shortbread, brownies and mini cakes entice guests to be seated.
Wedding invites and menu cards are watermarked in emerald and gold leaf while beautiful stone name places create keepsakes for guests.

Photographed by the talented Charlotte from Captured Life Photography. We knew she would be perfect and was a master of creating a story. A staged ceremony backdrop of swagging drapes really softened the fabulous blank canvas the venue has to offer.

David’s crown was the showstopper of the shoot. Designed and made my Glorious by Heidi. Why shouldn’t men wear head accessories for their wedding day? We absolutely love this styling. Flowers for David include a floral shoulder corsage of regimented petals, leaves and berries. Flowers were created simple and elegant for Richard – a compact hand tied bouquet of Veronica framed with Fern and a buttonhole of Thistle, Hypericum Berries and Veronica compliment this against his check navy blue Master Debonair suit.

The love story….. They met through best friends who worked at David’s local pub (years later they went on to take over the very same pub). David was 21 when he met Richard and they’d been together for eight years before getting married. They love spending time outdoors, holidaying and gardening. Their favourite place visited was Prague and they hope to visit the Maldives and New Orleans! They have 2 dogs, a cat and parrot!

Wedding advice? David says “RUN….. No only joking!! I would say just to remember the day is about the both of you and try to enjoy the run up to it and not stress too much. Planning is key to ensure a smooth running of the day. Delegate tasks to anyone helping you with the wedding. Create a WhatsApp group to keep information central with people helping. Make a free website to put on your invitations so guests can check for any changes to times, directions or menu choices.”
