A stunning and sustainable wedding with a plant-based menu, handmade bespoke wedding dress and a wonderfully summery vibe. Today’s gorgeous couple Janna & Seb were married when pandemics were made up things in films, and the joy and freedom of their day is a delight to see! Huge thanks to lovely dressmaker Felicity Westmacott who first told me about their wedding, to Janna & Seb for a lovely interview, and to Hampshire photographer Lasting Impressions by Lucy for the glorious images.

A stunning couple in traditional Indian dress for a micro wedding with a reception at Swallows Nest Barn in Warwickshire. I’d been looking out for a coupe of Indian heritage who’d had to scale back their plans because of the pandemic, and when Sandish emailed me I was absolutely over the moon. Revising their plans for a wedding with 300 guests to an intimate celebration with only their closest family and friends meant some huge changes in the style and focus of Harj and Sandish’s day, with pre-wedding events having to be missed. While the much-anticipated reception had to be put on hold, this Sikh micro wedding still has so much love and beauty, and our gorgeous bride tells the story of their day in such a joyful way I simply had to share. Everyone – you will LOVE the romantic images of lovely Sandish and Harj from their intimate Sikh wedding at Swallows Nest Barn. Do scroll all the way through to catch all the photos.
A lovely couple whose faith means lots, a church wedding with Dad presiding, a beautiful flower crown and Oxfam online suit – Boo and Charlie told us it was hard having to plan different scenarios for their wedding in spring 2021, but with 15 guests allowed, they used the opportunity to have a wonderfully intimate, small wedding… and it’s beautiful. We love the focus on sustainability, and the kindness that shines from this wedding – our gorgeous couple don aprons and serve their guests, and have left wonderful reviews for their favourite Yorkshire wedding suppliers below. Images are by lovely Hannah Beatrice Photography.
A heartfelt micro wedding in a refreshingly quirky setting, with the loveliest couple and breathtaking images from Cambridge wedding photographer Damien Vickers. We’ve fallen head over heels for Stradsett Hall, and we’re ALL about the dress & suit combo and the incredible greenery and floral styling. Lorna & Keanu are a gorgeous couple – don’t miss their interview below!

How did you choose your photographer?
After browsing what felt like hundreds of websites we came across Damien’s website and social media. His bright and relaxed style seemed like they would be a perfect fit for the atmosphere we wanted on our day!
I know you’re going to love a wedding if I find myself beaming at my screen as I write it all up. And today I did just that, SO many times! It’s not just the beautiful bride and gorgeous groom, and it’s not just Sally Rawlins’ amazing images which are making all my wedding bloggy senses tingle… it’s the words. It’s the heartfelt story of a wedding, the focus on connection and family, and the generous and glowing reviews for some fabulous suppliers, which are wonderful to hear. Gemma & Sam’s day is going into my secret little ‘favourite weddings‘ folder and will most certainly be making a reappearance on the blog one day in the future, for sure!
