It’s been a CRAZY summer of weddings – and I wanted to say a huge, happy CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who’ve finally been able to get wed.

What an amazing summer of weddings! – at LAST!

It’s been wonderful seeing all my photographer friends’ instagrams filled with your happy faces. I do know wedding photographers are working incredibly hard right now, editing at least double the number of weddings they would in a normal year… and if you’re excitedly waiting for your wedding photos to land in your inbox, please please be patient. I promise it will be worth the wait!

A stunning and sustainable wedding with a plant-based menu, handmade bespoke wedding dress and a wonderfully summery vibe. Today’s gorgeous couple Janna & Seb were married when pandemics were made up things in films, and the joy and freedom of their day is a delight to see! Huge thanks to lovely dressmaker Felicity Westmacott who first told me about their wedding, to Janna & Seb for a lovely interview, and to Hampshire photographer Lasting Impressions by Lucy for the glorious images.“english

It’s been a little while since we’ve shown you a stunning Sperry Tent on these pages, but these beautiful structures are timeless and oh so elegant – I’d love to see them more! Today’s elegant and refined photoshoot comes from lovely Martina, wedding planner at Wonderful Events, who I’m very proud to say is an English Wedding member. The tablescapes are out of this world, and I’m smitten with the Sophia Tolli dress! I’ll leave Martina to tell you more about the styling – there’s a full supplier list below, so do check out the talented team who brought this together so beautifully!“english

Steering a wedding blog along the right path is a fun part of everything we do… and we’re always looking to be better.

After covid (is it too soon to say that? Probably but…) we’ve learned a few things: family and human connection are massively important.

At the beginning of 2020 we were all about sustainability in weddings – and at that time, sustainability meant carbon footprint and reducing plastic, reusing and recycling and so on.

We do love a little proposal news here at English Wedding, and with international travel still off the agenda for many, the UK’s romantics have been forced to get a little more creative when it comes to popping the question.

Whilst the likes of the Eiffel Tower, Disneyworld, or Bruges’ Lake of Love might once have been the go-to spots for romance and to seal an engagement, we’re now told that Brits are making the most of the countryside on their doorsteps for a little love.
