A stunning wedding for Holly & Nick in Southampton, with Molly Georgia Photography

Today’s real wedding blog is chic and romantic, and introduces English Wedding to a gorgeous new venue: The Bugle House in Southampton. Holly & Nick held their reception at Hampshire’s most stunning historic townhouse, choosing wedding and fashion photographer Molly Georgia to capture their day. It’s all so beautiful, from the timeless styling and personal touches to the truly lovely moments between the groom and bride. With love and thanks to Holly & Nick for sharing the story of their day and recommended suppliers, and to talented photographer Molly Georgia for sharing the images on English Wedding today. As ever – there will be more on instagram @englishweddingblog because I always save some of my favourites to share later! This wedding has also been featured on One Fab Day.

A note to wedding suppliers and couples who want to feature on English Wedding. I see the hard work you put into a wedding day. From the love that goes into all of your styling details, to choosing and falling in love with a venue that feels just right for the two of you. And we acknowledge those moments through your English Wedding interview. This gives all of your favourite suppliers a mention, a detailed review if you want to include one, and a quality link back to all of those suppliers’ websites from our carefully curated wedding blog.

Our wedding venue
Hampshire wedding venue: The Bugle House, Southampton

We loved The Bugle House from the moment we saw it. The classic, historic exterior immediately caught our attention, especially as it sits right in the heart of Southampton’s bustling city centre. Inside, the venue is beautifully modern and stylish. It had recently been updated, and the furnishings and décor felt elegant.
Our coordinator, Holly, was incredibly accommodating and flexible throughout the planning process. It genuinely felt as though we were able to design our day exactly as we wanted, with the team fully supporting our ideas. This was a refreshing contrast to some of the more rigid venues we visited.
Our guests absolutely loved the venue. It was the perfect setting for relaxed afternoon drinks, and as the evening unfolded it transformed seamlessly into an ideal party space. The Bugle House offered everything we wanted in a wedding venue and more.
Our wedding outfits
My dress was the Olive gown by British bridal brand Love Story London, from Hannah Elizabeth Bridal Boutique (sadly now closed down). It was a high-neck, fitted dress with a beautiful train, and I immediately fell in love with its timeless elegance. One of my favourite details was the back of the dress, with its delicate, detailed buttons. I chose to pair it with a long veil, which completed the look!

My husband Nick wore a classic black tuxedo from Moss Bros. Together, we wanted our outfits to feel timeless and elegant, with looks that could transition seamlessly from our church ceremony to our modern city venue.

Other amazing wedding suppliers
My hair and makeup artist, Olivia Marshall Makeup, was absolutely incredible. She made me, my mum, and my bridesmaids feel stunning. Olivia created a beautifully soft, natural look, and I still felt completely like myself, just ten times better. Her calm presence on the morning of the wedding made the whole experience even more special.

Our wedding cake was made by our friend Hannah from Hannah’s Creative Cakes in Southampton, and it was everything we hoped for. She created a classic, elegant cake topped with a large pink bow, perfectly tying in with other details throughout our wedding. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing, we enjoyed the leftovers for a good few days after! 🙂

Our wedding band, Davey Jones’ Locker, completely stole the show and were one of the most memorable parts of our day. They had everyone dancing, singing, and having the best time from start to finish, the energy they brought to the evening was unforgettable.
