Morning lovelies! I wanted to quickly show you these beauties from my Etsy shop. Lovely Jessica Reeve Photography sent me a handful of photos which I’m over the moon with (thank you Jess!) and I couldn’t wait to show you! This wedding invitation set is sustainable, made from recycled card and doesn’t cost the earth. I can also address your envelopes by hand in modern calligraphy – it’s an optional extra I love to provide for my couples.

These elegant rustic wedding invitations come fully personalised with your names, wedding date and time, venue and rsvp address. They’re designed in a simple, minimal style with our fave calligraphy font, and printed on recycled kraft card.

I’m missing writing calligraphy so much! Here are some of my favourite wedding calligraphy ideas for all of you 2021 couples out there. If you haven’t seen this side of me, as well as writing English Wedding I love to pick up my dippy ink pots and nibs and write handcrafted wedding stationery. I’ve been incredibly lucky over the last few years to work alongside some incredible creatives: photographers, stylists and of course my super talented illustrator friend, lovely Amy Swann.

Hey beautiful, are you doing ok? It’s so lovely to see everyone on insta doing the right thing and staying at home – I hope our blog and social feed are keeping you entertained and smiling!

Those of you who follow my other insta @bymoonandtide will have seen I’ve made my online calligraphy workshops FREE for the next 12 weeks. If you have a calligraphy pen at home, it’s time to have a play!

There are 6 video tutorials, each with worksheets you can download and print at home. All you need is a pen + nib, ink and paper.

Where are you up to with your wedding stationery? Will you be writing your own place names, table plan or signage on the day? A few little calligraphy tips will really help you on your way – and I have six modern calligraphy workshops planned for the year ahead. It’s what I do when I’m not writing a wedding blog: I have little pots of ink on my desk, and pens with nibs, and I spend my days writing beautiful wedding invitations and stationery. There’s something really lovely about modern calligraphy. Seeing the pen flow across the page as I write is just magical. Coming to a calligraphy workshop is a lovely experience – often brides-to-be come with mums, best friends and future husbands or wives – it’s a chance to spend some real quality time together in the run up to the big day as well. I teach every workshop myself, and they’re hosted in different locations around the north west of England. Every workshop is aimed at beginners – I’ll start by showing you how to hold a calligraphy pen and you’ll learn how to write beautiful alphabets and quotes in no time!

As you may know, I write calligraphy for weddings when I’m not in my blogging shoes, and the last couple of weeks have been super busy with some updates to my collections.

I have had my little Etsy shop since 2013 and in that time I’ve written for hundreds of couples’ weddings. But some of my wedding stationery had been on there the whole time – yes, the whole entire seven years – and was beginning to look a little 1990s around the edges. (I might be overly critical; maths sure as hell ain’t my thing. But yeah, it looked OLD!)
