As a wedding blogger I’m sensing a real subcurrent in wedding media right now – amongst all the noise and AI-fuelled extravagance on instagram, creators and suppliers are calling for authenticity and more genuine wedding content. Yes, we all love to see breathtaking florals, Taylor Swift style – but authentic and achievable wedding styling feels so much more beautiful to share. Inspired by our English Wedding members, here are ten simple, affordable ideas for bringing a little luxury into your wedding, without blowing your budget.

A classic, graceful and elegant English Wedding to begin the week – and I have to say I’m in love with the flowers from Georgie and Sean’s stunning day. Styling is elegant and pretty – summer vibes all the way because I’m not ready for autumn just yet! The images are just lovely, Georgie and Sean look amazing, and do watch out for their super cute cake topper! With heartfelt thanks to a lovely couple for their glowing supplier reviews, and to Zara Davis for all of the images we’re sharing here and on instagram @englishweddingblog today!

When it comes to bridal style, some trends may come and go but pearls remain an eternal symbol of elegance and romance. From dainty pearl studs to statement necklaces, pearl bridal jewellery has been adored by brides for centuries. At Emma Rose Jewellery we celebrate the timeless beauty of pearls by creating designs that feel both classic and modern – perfect for brides who dream of a look that will never go out of style.

Let’s begin this week with some beautiful styling inspiration from the heart of France’s Champagne region, shall we? I’m proud to share styled photoshoots with inspiration for couples, so you can discover wedding suppliers’ creativity and get ideas for your own wedding look. As always, I want to be super clear that this is a photoshoot, not a wedding – the aesthetic designed with heart and soul, to showcase the work of some incredibly talented artisans working in the wedding sphere.

Images are by photographer Arnaud Gratia, and the photoshoot was curated by lovely Meggan, wedding planner at D Day Wedding Planner Champagne-Ardenne.

In the last 15 years of English Wedding I’ve watched – happily – as celebrant-led weddings have grown in popularity. More and more couples choose independent and humanist celebrants over council registrars for their weddings every year. This shift in ceremony styles goes hand in hand with the rise in really personal and unique weddings, and I think it’s wonderful. If you’ve only just started planning your wedding, and you’re not sure which kind of celebrant to choose for your wedding, I’m here to explain the differences in really simple terms to help you decide.
