Whether you’re newly engaged or you’ve waited for your big day through multiple postponements, this summer is shaping up to be full of joyful celebrations as we finally seem to have an end in sight to social distancing rules and COVID restrictions.

We think weddings this summer will be a little special – naturally all weddings are happy occasions to be celebrated, however this year they come with the additional celebration of family and friends coming together once again and seeing each other for the first time in what feels like forever!

What does the word ‘wedding’ bring to mind for you? A white dress, a country house, a fancy sit down meal? When I first started in the wedding industry that’s what it meant to me as well. But now I hear the word wedding and I know the only constants are love, joy and celebration. Throwing personality into that mix is the secret recipe for an amazing wedding – remembering of course that not all weddings have a bride or a dress; not all weddings are formal – and the best ones, if I’m honest, are unexpected and characterful.

Have you ever had limoncello? This amazing Italian liqueur is made with lemons from Sorrento, and today’s styled shoot instantly brings to mind that wonderful lemony scent of Italy, of Sicily and the beautiful Amalfi coast. As a wedding colour palette, lemon is vibrant and fun, playful and beautiful. The creative team behind the styling chose a fabulously elegant look, with pops of lemon giving a Sicilian vibe. The floral styling is exquisite, with yellow blooms and ruscus  perfectly complementing the fresh lemons at every place setting, and the stationery beautifully designed to match. Our bride wears a stunning lace dress by Atelier Tre Erre, from Verona. Thank you lovely Mannuela from Florissa Designs for sharing this with us today!

This is part two of the sassy London bridal shoot we fell in love with last week! (Check out part 1 here if you missed it)

We’re talking gorgeously modern, gently alternative, glamorous wedding styling with a luxe twist. And yup, all of those things fit together beautifully. A trouser two piece by Kate Edmondson Bridal, styling by Perfectly Planned 4 You, and simple, elegant florals from Catherine Short Floral Design – basically my dream styling team. Captured by our fave, Amanda Karen Photography – this is everything.

I fell in love with today’s photoshoot the second I saw it. Having a mother and daughter in a photoshoot is really special, and this is as sublimely beautiful as can be. The florals are breathtaking, the light is glorious – and the details are simply stunning. Huge thanks to lovely Katherine and her Camera for sharing this with us!
