Today’s elegant and refined photoshoot comes from lovely Martina, wedding planner at Wonderful Events, who I’m very proud to say is an English Wedding member. Boutique Marquees from Stratford upon Avon and Sperry tents UK were proud to showcase a full-length Sperry tent which is very popular marquee option in the US. Now available in the UK, these tents are elegant, feel luxurious and vast.
Sperry tents look great in any backdrop with their three recognizable peaks and white flags. Its elegance and white luxurious material is highlighted by festoon lights and fairy lights draping all the way from the ceiling and going around the full length of the tent.
Smaller weddings can also enjoy a covered ceremony or lounge space at one of the marquee ends. It is always a good idea to be prepared for the eventuality of rain!
Concept
Modern luxury for every marquee. Simply elegant, laid back, beautiful.
Colour palette
Monochrome with a touch of gold works well in almost every venue. It works even better when the venue is a stunning blank canvas like a marquee or Sperry tent. A combination of simple white flowers, grey tablecloths, and gold cutlery.
Mood
We chose Barbara Markiewicz’s photography style to bring out the romance, luxury, and monochrome colours of this wedding. She captured the love between our bride & groom beautifully.
Flowers
Our florist used a white summer mix filled with fragrant garden roses, sweet peas, stocks, spray roses, gypsophila, lizzianthus, delphiniums, orchids, and white peonies.
We kept an all-white, classic, elegant feel for the wedding but made sure to add lots of interest with different textures and scents, making it really inviting to want to touch and smell the flowers. Each vase and candle holder was hand-picked and added personality to every bloom. Seemingly apart but unified by the narrow layout of the table and crystal glassware.
Tablescape
We focused on hand-picked pieces of crystal wine glasses and flutes, dark patterned water glass, white and gold show plates, and most importantly an array of individual candle stick holders and vases. Altogether bringing simplicity and luxury to the Sperry Tent.
Bride & Groom
Our bride wears Saskia by Sophia Tolli from Ava May Bridal and her real-life partner wears a double-breasted dark navy suit from Henley House in Henley in Arden. Rachel Simpson shoes in light gold add 1920’s glamour and comfort for our bride.

Beautifully boho wedding styling brought together by a dream team of Yorkshire wedding suppliers! We’re in love with all the macrame and huge grasses, the neon angel wings, hat and boots combo… and the images by English Wedding member Kristie from Daze Photography are ever so dreamily beautiful!
Previously featured: Belle Bridal Magazine. This is Bohemian fused with luxury for a unique styled shoot with luxurious detailing and beautiful boho vibes set to a stunning backdrop of amazing florals and handmade macrame.
The whole shoot was inspired when I spotted ‘Naira’ the beautiful macrame creation by Kim of Indi Rose Macrame.
It blew me away and stopped me in my tracks when I was scrolling on instagram. The idea for the shoot was born and after securing Priory Cottages near Wetherby as the venue everything else slotted nicely into place.
‘Naira’ was styled perfectly inside the hoop provided by Something New and surrounded by stunning pampas grass, palms, twigs and candles created by the talented Hyde Park Flower Club by Dotties.
Bridal boutique – Limelight Occasions had two beautiful bohemian style dresses – an off the shoulder dress by Rachel Rose Bridal and a lace, bell sleeved dress by Herve Paris Bridal. They also had a grey tweed Cavani suit complete with paisley tie and handkerchief that worked perfectly with the theme. Hayley the owner also suggested some stunning hair pieces by Arianna Tiaras to go with the dress.
I loved Gray Starling Designs’ stationery, her handmade paper and gold leaf edge along with the floral designs she creates were a must have. She kindly suggested the design for seating plan that worked great with the macrame curtain and designed the beautiful invitations, menus and place settings. My idea was to have the macrame keyring which doubled as a place setting and favour. I also asked Indi Rose Macrame if she could create the beautiful moon and star to hang on the back of the bride & groom’s chairs. Kim really went above and beyond and manage to create so many beautiful pieces at such short notice.
I wanted to have Nabila Burija Weddings onboard as assistant photographer as we work so well together. We both do a mix of photography and film and have worked together on many weddings and styled shoots over the years. She’s an amazing photographer and also does fashion photography so she instantly knew which model would be great for this shoot. Autumn Rose Palmer who is also a talented MUA @muaautumnrose had the look we wanted and luckily her boyfriend Tom was happy to help out as the ‘groom’ for the day.
The awesome cake was provided by Sugar Crush Bakes. Georgie’s cakes are so creative, vibrant and interesting, I was thrilled when she was happy to be involved! The finished cake not only looked sensational but tasted amazing too!
I had a desire to have a fun element to the shoot so the angel wings provided by Viva La Booth were perfect for some fun shots! Their neon wings are the ultimate talking point for selfies or photo booth backdrop.
The day itself was brilliant, everything came together perfectly and we made a great team. I gasped when I first saw the bouquet, it looked incredible! Dottie provided 2 for the different looks we created. The dried flower bouquet with pampas grass and the large colourful bouquet really blew me away! She’s so creative and really went beyond my expectations. I was also impressed to hear that she doesn’t use floral foam as it’s bad for the environment and uses mainly local flower growers. I totally trusted her judgment during the planning and she didn’t disappoint.
The dresses from Limelight Occasions were stunning, Autumn looked beautiful in them. To say it was Tom’s debut as a model you wouldn’t know and he looked very dapper in the grey tweed! Amy from Something New was a great help on the day and provided everything needed to dress the tables. The added bonus at the end of the shoot was sharing the beautiful flowers and delicious cake between the suppliers and the feedback was that a good day was had by all!

When we set out to create this shoot we wanted to keep it simple and concentrate on the finer details for the bride. With micro weddings being a dead cert for the years to come, Ange from the Snowdrop Cakery and Sam from Fantail created a stunning shoot with that at the forefront. Adding in ombre pinks and whites you’ve got the recipe for a funky city style wedding that could be incorporated into any venue space.
The venue: Hirst Priory – The Vaults at Hirst Priory is a wonderful space underground with exposed curved bricks that create a cosy, intimate and raw setting for a wedding. For 300 years The Vaults were only known to the occupants of Hirst Priory but now open for couple to enjoy for a truly unique setting.
Sam from Fantail says ‘We wanted to showcase the vaults as a modern setting using vibrant colours and contemporary styling. We opted for hot pinks and whites using a mix of Roses, Ranunculus and Phalaenopsis Orchids.’
The Snowdrop Cakery created a stunningly beautiful tiered cake with waafer waves and sugar paste flowers. Stationery by Sheaf, brought the table setting design together with ombre tones from pastel pink to fuschia pink.
The Zara Suit was definitely the outfit we wanted our model Jourdan to wear. It’s functional, comfortable and dateless for a wedding.
Combined with stunning headbands from Glorious by Heidi and coupled with a veil and birdcage veil by KMR Bridal created this beautiful city chic look we were after.
We used a rose gold Le Vian ring that sparked chocolate diamonds. Balloons were added as focal point to the end of the vaults and to draw your eye towards the ‘Fabulous’ neon sign on the wall. We were spoilt on the day from John who performed mesmerising magic tricks throughout the shoot.
A beautiful wedding look with a faraway vibe… the vineyard backdrop feels like a sunny Italian destination. Happily, this all takes place much closer to home! With eucalyptus and olive branch styling and delicate greens, light summer outfits and relaxed luxury styling, today’s blog is everything you need to style your UK ‘destination’ wedding for summer. The inspiration was to show couples that there are some amazing locations within East Anglia which can give you the feeling of being abroad. Reverse destination weddings are something I am seeing a lot of, with couples specifically choosing Norfolk and Suffolk as the destination for their wedding just because they love the setting. Recruiting a top-class team of creatives based in East Anglia, for a high-quality result, this shoot also clearly showcases the amazing local wedding talent in our area.
Although the location for the shoot is not a wedding venue the setting was so perfect as a backdrop and inspiration for our concept. The colour palette was kept very natural with white and green being the dominant colours, and a heavy emphasis on foliage and natural elements to blend with the surroundings. The vineyard was certainly an inspiration as you can see and we used this to tie in the dress design, the stationery, the table decorations and the cake together into a delicately luxurious look. Everything was kept very elegant and classic to again illustrate that you can have a luxury feeling wedding in a countryside setting – it doesn’t have to be rustic hessian and straw bales!
