This morning we’re bringing you a burst of joyful colour and oodles of romance. A talented and super creative team of Northamptonshire wedding suppliers came together for this glorious photoshoot at Brampton Grange, sent in to us by fabulous Northants wedding photographer Daniel Thomas. We’re in LOVE with that cake, the colours of the balloons and the stunning floral styling!

This was a fun, colourful summer shoot designed to show off the versatility of Brampton Grange’s outside spaces, including the gorgeous courtyard for ceremonies. Bright, vibrant colours have been used to stand out and contrast against the bride’s dress and the surrounding greenery of the countryside.

The two table setups have been designed to use the space in different ways, one with a beautiful cake by The Yummyverse and the other with gorgeous florals provided by Suzanne Randell Floral Design. Both are complemented by stunning vintage crockery.

We wanted to mix the shoot up with candid and posed photos, the ceremony shots were designed to show off what an outdoor ceremony would look like at Brampton Grange and so was shot in a candid manner, with Vicky, the celebrant, performing a mock ceremony.

The vibrant floral styling from Ross and Sarah’s Silchester Farm wedding grabbed our hearts last month and we were so excited to share some little extras with you. All of the gorgeous images are by Dorset and Hampshire wedding photographer Nathan at Libra Photographic.

With striking reds, gem colours and a sensory overload of blooming beauty, we fell hard for this gorgeous wedding look.

The colour palette works all year round; the flowers used for this Hampshire wedding are by Denham based florists and event stylists Ever After. Their talented florists used sweet peas, dahlias, aliums, tulips, roses, ranunculus, and peonies.

Sarah and Jo took care of everything, making it so easy… The colour scheme was jewelled pink, purple and orange so the scope for the flowers was incredible… So many people came up to me and said “Oh, the flowers! Oh, the flowers!” My advice on flowers is to go high impact rather than lots of little bits and reuse them where you can – for example, we had urns with flowers spilling out for either side of the aisle that our stylist moved through to the wedding breakfast by the entrance. ~ beautiful bride Sarah

Ross and Sarah’s wedding wrapped itself beautifully around the theme of ‘Love through time’, told through floral art from various eras.

The drinks reception was inspired by Sultan Ahmet’s tulip garden in Ottoman-era Turkey and the wedding breakfast was Victorian Scotland in 1879.

Sarah handmade a lot of the props including getting a large Victorian frame and handmaking little escort cards made of rag paper. These were hung on string to create the most striking, artistic seating plan.

The bridesmaids’ bouquets are stunning! Each has its own colour palette; together they create the most fabulous display – and all of the girls look amazing with them!

We’re in LOVE with this opulent floral buttercream wedding cake by Emma Page Cakes – it’s a perfect fit for Sarah & Ross’s theme, and a piece of art in itself!

The table name signs are beautifully made, with torn paper, playful fonts and vintage style illustrations with decoupage paper flowers. Wonderful!

Floral postcards make a wonderful alternative wedding guest book. We adore this idea!
Flowers and art go hand in hand, and these colourful little pieces alongside place settings are simply beautiful.

Sarah and Ross’s use of quotes throughout the day is so much fun – and the words are bursting with romance. These are simple to make and a lovely project if you’re creative types!

Another absolute showstopper from Ross & Sarah’s wedding day was Aaron Jacob Jones, the Wedding Illustrator. He comes highly recommended and we’ll be sharing a little more from the Wedding Illustrator in the coming weeks – watch this space!

If a beautiful barn style wedding venue is on your marital lust list, you’re about to get awfully lustful. Milling Barn is one of those special, incredibly rustic blank canvas barn venues that doesn’t want for much more than twinkly candlelight and in this instance, a stunningly tasteful yet simple, ruscus-rich floral installation as a ceremony backdrop.

This styled photoshoot is the work of a group of talented suppliers from Hertfordshire. We love the pretty calligraphy, the gorgeous boho style dress, the gentle candlelight and the fabulous foliage. Models Jen and James have that madly-in-love glow which lights up a shoot, and this styled setup has us smitten here at English Wedding HQ!
Thanks to lovely Amy at Lace & Lemons for sending this in for us. We share her write up of this dreamy, beautifully imagined wedding below.

The ‘bride’ wore a stunning, vintage-inspired strapless gown with weightless chiffon sleeves by Maggie Sottero – courtesy of Clifford Burr Bridal – which perfectly complimented this relaxed, subtle celebration of love. The ceremony took place at 5pm as the summer sun began to lower in the sky, allowing for the candlelight to gently illuminate the barn as vows were exchanged.

After their intimate ceremony, the toot of a vintage VW drew the couple outside for photographs and chatter, before the couple headed off alone for a pre-arranged wedding day date beneath a beautiful oak tree. A low table set for two was filled with the couple’s favourite light bites and a bottle of bubbly. On each of their plates lay a sealed note containing private vows. This moment provided a perfect opportunity for the couple to share a few personal words they’d written for each other in a private setting away from friends and family.

After a short while, the photographer whisked the couple away for shots on the beautiful grounds as the sun set, turning the beige wheat fields golden. Summer wedding perfection.
The couple returned to the wedding party happy, relaxed and ready to see their wedding cake for the first time. The cake lounge housed deep ochre vintage chairs which provided an opportunity for guests to sit and relax in comfort and style, with the option of tea or coffee. A nice addition to a bustling bar. The couple cut their wedding cake, marking a special moment before the wedding breakfast. The wedding cake was served as dessert.

This was a truly relaxed and original barn-style summer wedding photoshoot filled with natural beauty and joy. It was a day designed just for them.

I can’t even begin to tell you how utterly adorable today’s blog is! It’s an absolute treat to be sharing this gorgeous inspiration with you… and a glance at Hannah Brookes‘ photos will tell you why.

The images are stunning, the styling just perfect, the light and photography out of this world. There are sustainable elements which we LOVE: the flowers are locally sourced, seasonal blooms for a summer wedding. The mix of colour and texture in the bouquet is wonderful. The floral chandelier and archway are just incredible!

It’s really important to say that we share styled photoshoots to help if you’re looking for ideas. You’ll find inspiration here, but we encourage you to interpret the look in a way that works for you and your budget. Take little ideas from the looks created by the team on the day – and of course, if you’re looking for wedding suppliers in Yorkshire do check out the talents in our supplier list!

“This is classic English country garden wedding inspiration with a romantic and whimsical twist.
We wanted to create big, showstopping floral centrepieces using seasonal and locally sourced flowers, and we felt that Sedgewell Barn was the perfect, blank canvas backdrop.

We wanted to show what is possible to style in the space and provide real wedding inspo to engaged couples.
Birdcages and Dragonflies provided all of the furniture, styled everything to perfection AND brought a graze platter to boot.
Our couple, Rebecca and Rob are a real couple, married in real life in 2020.

Rebecca wore a beautiful gown from Treasured Brides, complimented by Rob’s suit from Haworth Menswear.
The cake with the most stunning and intricate sugar flowers was provided by Folia Cake Design, who of course brought some cake for us to sample and we confirm it is delicious!

The star of the show was the venue’s very own confetti pony – Pedro! Happy to pose for the camera and fully aware of his own fabulousness! What a genius idea for the confetti baskets!”

This is the second of a two part feature from a talented group of wedding creatives in Bristol. An inspirational wedding setup, designed to show you how to create a stunning look for your modern wedding.

The images in this post are all by Sasha Lee Photography, following yesterday’s feature with Megan Donati Photography’s images. (Sasha was the second photographer on set.) Each showcases a beautiful set of images in their own right, and I love how the two blogs show how much difference in style there can be between wedding photographers.

Sasha’s images are light and full of character, taking in the spectacular venue The Mount Without as a beautiful backdrop for her photography. The details are beautifully captured, and we see some special styling touches today. (Sustainable seed paper is always a win!)

Thanks again to Rosie from Raw Bridal for submitting this blog to us on English Wedding. Rosie told us the make up look for the solo bride was a soft glam, creating a defined eye with soft pinks and rose gold sparkle, finishing with individual lashes and full coverage foundation and contour.
