Let’s never forget weddings are for everyone: while the wedding media’s demographic tends one way, here at English Wedding we’re looking to celebrate a rainbow of couples and today’s UK beach elopement is absolutely one of my favourites! Our couple Wendy and Nigel shine through their day: their happiness is infectious and the images by Devon wedding photographer Thomas Frost are simply out of this world. I’m so lucky to have found this gorgeous pair through the website of talented wedding dressmaker Felicity Westmacott – and oh my, what an incredible DRESS!
Weddings go by in a flash and a blur because there is SO MUCH going on. It might feel like 10 minutes, but the story of your day in pictures will be a revelation. So many of my wedding photographer friends say they struggle to send a selection of just 60 images for a blog post. I can totally see why – and today I’m really feeling it! Hannah & Jamie’s (pre-covid) village hall wedding is summed up beautifully in our header pic: it’s ALL about the people they love, and who love them.
An adorable couple, the prettiest bride, and picture perfect styling touches for a castle themed wedding. Jade and Alan were married in 2019, and I’ve had the loveliest time this morning scrolling through all of their images. There is so much inspiration here, and the venue is romantic as can be. I love that these two did things their way: their readings are really personal and special, and they chose not to have a first dance – dancing in front of everyone just wasn’t their thing, so why do it?! Kent brides and grooms, I hope you’ll love seeing all the wonderful moments from this perfect February wedding. It’s an absolute beauty!
I’m completely in denial of the blustery Monday outside my window and 100% smitten with today’s STUNNING festival wedding on the blog. I do love to begin a week with a wedding to knock your socks off, and I think we’ve really nailed it today with our gorgeous couple Charlotte & Will. Their day combines rustic styling touches with elegant looks for the bride and groom – their tipi reception is absolutely lovely; the top table with their children is a joy (I love this idea!) – and the florals in white with oodles of greenery are just exquisite. We’ve lots of love for English Wedding member Mamad at Twig & Vine Photography who has captured their day beautifully. Have a lovely Monday everyone!
A wonderfully elegant Shustoke Barn wedding from back in 2019. Bride Laura is stunning in a dress from our faves and English Wedding members TDR Bridal – Alex her perfect match in a unique and super stylish Lambretta suit. The barn is beautifully styled with floral chandeliers by Penny Johnson Flowers, who also comes highly recommended by our gorgeous bride and groom.
