You might just recognise bride Steph from the cover of the English Wedding Book… you might recognise the calligraphy in this shoot as mine – I was so happy to be a part of this shoot earlier in the year. You’ll most certainly know the divine landscapes are my beloved Lake District… today’s emerald wedding inspiration shoot comes from the shores of Windermere, from one of the Lakes’ loveliest venues: Silverholme.
I swear I almost felt a tickle of hayfever this morning… but it feels far too early! Is it just me?! Every day I think summer is almost here and I can’t wait for the wedding season to really kick in – my mind is rushing happily into July already! Time then, for something amazing, beautiful and allergy-free to feast your crafty eyes upon today: a stunning DIY bridal bouquet for 2016 with step by step instructions from the lovely Natasha at Pumpkin & Pye.
It’s almost Easter… I hope you have the most wonderful long weekend planned. We’re heading into the hills tomorrow, and then on a little road trip to see friends on Sunday, chocolate eggs clutched in our excited little hands! But before we go… I’ve been saving this loveliness for you. Gorgeous Rebecca & Adam’s wedding had an Easter flavour to it… they styled their day with pretty colours and the loveliest gold leafed eggs as place settings. It was the prettiest Easter wedding I’ve seen! Here’s how you can create a similar look for your day. See more...
Hasn’t it felt as though spring is finally here this week? I’ve been walking in the hills before work each morning and enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face – it’s been bliss! And so I wanted to bring a little springtime to the blog for you today. This shoot is full of delicious florals and beautiful Charlotte Balbier gowns, in the loveliest natural setting… and showcases a whimsical bridal style which is just perfect for the warmer months.
Welcome to spring! Enjoy this fabulous shoot, and have the loveliest Saturday 🙂
Girls and guys – if you’re booking a barn for your wedding reception then you’re going to need a little help with the styling… and you’re going to have so much fun planning and decorating the place! Countryside touches, rustic floral arrangements and traditional crafts are some of the things I love most about English barn weddings… and all of the beautiful touches in the images shown here are from Gemma & Joe’s wedding, photographed by lovely Benjamin Mathers Photography.
Barn wedding styling, hanging flowers and setting the ‘stage’ for your cake!
