Laura & Luc’s beautifully individual Zetter Townhouse wedding, with London documentary photographers York Place Studios

A stunning celebration for a gorgeous couple, wrapped up in personality and character – and away from so many of the expectations we have around weddings. Bringing personality into a wedding means something different to every couple: here, it’s in York Place Studios‘ documentary wedding photography style which fits the atmosphere so perfectly. There’s laughter during the ceremony: pure, delighted laughs – and love. So much love, seen in the glances between Luc and Laura, in their friends’ hugs, and in hands held tightly.

The little moments captured are as precious as the ones we tend to think of as key to the running order of a wedding day.
So when the wedding media suggests you do your wedding your way, this is what they mean. Have a celebration of your love; make it whatever you want it to be.
Everything is optional from white dresses to favours, from cakes to formal timelines – just be sure to capture the memories so you can hold them close to your hearts for years and years to come.

It’s an incredible privilege to feature weddings photographed by London wedding photographers York Place Studios – they’re world-renowned, admired by photographers around the globe, speaking at international events – and their style is unique.
It’s absolutely fascinating to scroll through their galleries from weddings in London and across the UK – so often when wedding people use the word ‘details’ we mean bouquets, decor and table styling – but here, details are what you see when you slow down, and take a longer look at a picture from any of their weddings.
There is always so much happening, so many connections between people, and I love how there’s creativity and humour in every gallery we’ve ever shared on here.

That doesn’t mean this wasn’t a beautiful wedding in the conventional sense, because oh my goodness – this wedding is breathtaking.
I have to begin with Laura’s dress, which is exquisite, covered in hearts, perfect for dancing – and neither white nor ivory.
That wonderfully refreshing style carries through Laura and Luc’s day, which began with a meaningful humanist wedding ceremony in the garden at home, before speeches, food and dancing at the utterly fabulous Zetter Townhouse in Clerkenwell.
