A beautiful luxury wedding at The Savoy for Georgia & Tom, with Elegante by Michelle J
It’s incredibly important to me that English Wedding showcases a huge variety of real weddings. This includes all wedding budgets, and today’s celebrations are super luxurious and beautifully planned and styled by one of the UK’s most acclaimed wedding planners: lovely Michelle Jacobs at Elegante by Michelle J. The venue is The Savoy, the couple are as fun-loving as they are gorgeous and sophisticated: see Georgia & Tom’s “G & T” styling touches and you’ll be smiling along with me, because everything’s just so thoughtfully curated and looks utterly fabulous.
This wedding has already been published on the Elegante by Michelle J website, and it’s really interesting to read about this Savoy wedding from a luxury wedding planner’s perspective. What stood out to me most was the couple’s priorities: the ambience of their romantic ceremony, with zero interruptions for either the ceremony or for the wedding speeches. The wedding dinner was really important, not only the catering but the ambiance in the room, so music had to be carefully managed. From day one, the focus was primarily on how Georgia and Tom’s wedding would feel, and how guests would experience the celebrations from beginning to end. That’s a wonderful way to plan a wedding, and I hope it will be a key takeaway for you after you’ve read this wedding blog.
Of course, the florals by Wildabout, the styling of the hotel’s ceremony spaces and the images of this London wedding by Rachel Takes Pictures are out of this world. The look is romantic and beautiful; the Savoy’s celebration spaces candlelit and with lighting from a production team to create an enchanting ambience without natural light. Another top tip: if you are considering a wedding venue with little natural light, or a winter wedding (where daylight will feel fleeting!) your choice of photographer is crucial.
