My inspiration behind this shoot was to showcase a fusion Anglo-Indian wedding with a traditional English civil wedding style, alongside incorporating Indian cultural elements into the design.

The shoot predominantly took place at the Castle’s lakeside Loggia and in their gorgeous Italian gardens and the groom and bride Raj and Jade are a real couple.

I wanted to make the shoot joyful, fun and vibrant, yet romantic with some personal touches. There were meaningful and personalised elements in the styling as I am so passionate about ensuring a couple’s personality shines through every element of their wedding day. For instance, I incorporated personalised velvet embroidered ribbons, by The Embroidered Napkin Company, on each place setting with the initial of each guest, and the table name was named after a place in India which holds a special place in the couple’s hearts. The Ester & Erik taper candles also had hand calligraphy personalised, romantic sayings on them from the wonderfully talented Beeta Taylor-Sadeghi.

Indian weddings are typically rich in colour so, to demonstrate this, I used a colour palette of blush and dusty pink tones with pops of bright berry/ burgundy and paired it all with gold to add a sense of luxury. The gorgeous tableware by The Baileys Tableware Company included simple white charger plates with a gold rim, gold cutlery and beautiful pink glassware in different styles and textures. I also opted for vibrant pink chairs by the Little Wedding Warehouse and a soft pink tablecloth and blush pink napkins by Just 4 Linen. The wedding sign by The Friendly Paper Co really added that depth of colour with the block of deep berry.

India from Thistle & String provided the beautiful flowers for the shoot – the table centrepieces, the bridal bouquet, groom’s buttonhole and also the gorgeous pillar arrangements. She kept the arrangements mostly pink tones, but with the added vibrant pop of berry throughout.

I also had photos of Jade and Raj holding brightly coloured smoke cannons to add a colour pop to the photos and to portray that sense of fun and joy.

The Indian influence is demonstrated through the use of a stunning intricate henna/ mehndi pattern which is seen in the design of the stationery by the wonderful Ananya Cards and also the 3 tier wedding cake, which is by Meera Makes.

Jade’s dress was Alessandra by Maggie Sottero which is from the Pantiles Bride and is a real fairy-tale gown with a delicate lace design. She paired it with drop gold statement earrings and a glitzy hair accessory to incorporate an element of Indian culture to her look.
