I do love a lazy Sunday. I even love the rain – it means I can do a bare minimum of cleaning then spend the day snuggling with my man and a book. And a hot chocolate… because y’know, winter! And the cherry on my snuggly little Sunday-cake is a beautiful wedding editorial… that luxury of scrolling through insta, finding a beautiful blog post and diving right in, absorbing all the loveliness and dreaming of a future wedding day. That’s my perfect Sunday right there, and I’m SO HAPPY to be sharing this with you lovelies today. Huge thank yous to our fabulous English Wedding members Jennifer Jane Photography and Keyleigh Marie Weddings for sharing with us. Aren’t they amazing?! I don’t think there are words to describe this breathtaking bouquet… and it sets the scene for one of the loveliest weddings of the year. Laura and Simon married at Cripps Barn in February. Despite a little rain on their day, their smiles and laughter have been lighting up my screen all week – I just can’t stop scrolling through their wedding gallery.

Louisa and David describe their day as a “simple, traditional country wedding” – and for me, it’s the perfect celebration. They told me their images (by Somerset photographer Michael Riley) “captured the atmosphere, the emotion and the look of the whole wedding perfectly.”

The day was held at a 14th century coaching inn, the wonderful and charming George Inn, which needed very little decoration. Louisa worked with David’s Mum to arrange the flowers for the day, and made some rustic bunting which complemented their stationery (from Paperchase) and tied the theme of the day together.
