Creators of high-quality, made-to-order diamond jewellery Austen & Blake have conducted some research to find out just how much waste is created by UK weddings every year and the results are pretty shocking.
It’s way past time for us to ALL focus on sustainable weddings, and Austen & Blake have created an infographic full of information to help you choose more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives to some of your wedding day must haves. From upcycling your decor, switching plastics for biodegradable substitutes, opting for native flowers from local florists and selecting caterers that use locally sourced produce, there are numerous ways to make your big day that little bit greener.

When planning your dream wedding, it may seem like finding the love of your life and getting engaged was the easiest part of it all. That being said, this rollercoaster of emotions and planning is one predominantly characterised by highs, butterflies in your belly, and quality time spent with those that you love most.
Teresa & Shabba had two beautiful weddings (in pre-pandemic times!), and we’re sharing both with you today! Head back to the English Wedding home page to find their English wedding when you’ve scrolled through this lovely Tamil wedding feature!

We’re publishing Teresa & Shabba’s wedding in two parts today… there were so many beautiful pictures we just couldn’t squeeze them all into one feature. The happy couple had two weddings: a traditional English wedding and a beautiful Tamil wedding (which we’re excited to publish this afternoon!) – in Bath and in London. It’s been a joy to share all their wedding details and I hope you love these features as much as we do!

I wonder if 2021 will be the beginning of a surge in elopements… a year when couples put being married before all the frills of a wedding, and tie the knot, just the two of them, in the most romantic and dreamiest of ways. Perhaps this beautiful feature will inspire a few of you lovelies to consider an elopement. (And remember, the big party can always come later!)
