Today’s gorgeous pair Jessica & Rhys were married at Chelsea Old Town Hall in September, describing their wedding as “a magical day surrounded by our favourite people in the world.” They both love classic styling, but most importantly wanted a relaxed affair with no stress about specific styling themes – the most important thing was to enjoy the moment with their loved ones.

Jessica’s bridal look is just stunning: “I knew I wanted to wear separates as it was a more relaxed affair. I had been searching high and low for the perfect full length silk skirt and found the one I wore on Instagram via Belle & Bunty who have the sweetest little shop in Kentish Town. I ended up pairing the skirt with a matching silk cami and lace long sleeved top, both also from Belle & Bunty. I loved the contrast of this outfit with my Mallorca dresses and the lace made me feel like Grace Kelly on her wedding day! Elegant and sophisticated.”

These two are the most adorable couple – beautiful and happy on their wedding day. Philippa is stunning in her 1920s style dress – and wonderfully honest about her experience of finding ‘the one’ when it comes to dress shopping. Their photographer was our lovely friend Grace Elizabeth, whose images are simply breathtaking. You will LOVE this! Have a magical weekend everyone! xxx

How did you choose your photographer?

Philippa’s sister-in-law is a photographer so she helped us understand what we were looking for. She managed to get us a shortlist of 20 or so photographers who were available on our Wedding Day which we went through and picked our favourites. Grace Elizabeth was the first one we got in touch with and within a couple of hours we’d spoken on the phone, decided she was definitely the one for us and booked her!

So here’s an amazing boho English country house wedding to kick off February in fabulous style! Gorgeous and glam with pale yellow styling touches and eye-catching hand lettered backdrops, Francesca & Joe’s Mulberry House wedding sings of sunshine and celebration – and I just love it!

Francesca & Joe's Mulberry House wedding, with Scott Miller Photography (20)

To create my vision, the venue needed enhancing. I wanted a very boho, whimsical, rustic feel and Starry Eyed Weddings delivered that for us!
Sacha at Starry Eyed Weddings did our flowers. What can I say – they were incredible, everyone has commented on them!! The flowers were very natural, wild and whimsical and better than I could have ever imagine. I mean we had a hanging display of flowers in the church which was spectacular and I’ve never seen anything like it before. I can’t recommend Starry Eyed Weddings more highly!

My best friend used Scott for her wedding and I really liked his photos and the video, the fact he had a drone, so I wanted the same.

Well, hello there weekend!!! It’s wonderful to be here! – and lovelies, before you head out Christmas shopping, do indulge in a little weddingness with me? I have the prettiest day to share with you, including some of the loveliest evening portraits of our gorgeous couple Leigh & Adam. The pair were married at The Plough at Leigh, and chose English Wedding member Terence Joseph as their wedding photographer.

“We made and sourced a lot of decorations ourselves, but the barn already looked beautiful with hops and fairy lights. We loved making some of our decorations as we got friends and family onboard and was fun to do altogether! We made name places, jars with hessian and signs – who knew we had so many creative friends! My favourite thing to make was our ‘Find your name to find your place board’ – we put Polaroids of all guests on the board with string and pegs so people could take them home with them.

I just love how today’s beautiful and intimate wedding travels from city chic to seaside bliss in just a few stunning frames! Beautiful bride Jade wears a minimal and graceful dress from The Pretty Dress company and Gboyega is super stylish in a fitted suit from T.M. Lewin. They describe their September wedding as private, simplistic, intimate, meaningful… and windy! And they chose the perfect Dorset wedding photographer – our lovely friend and English Wedding member, Linus Moran Photography (www.linusmoranphotography.co.uk)

With no theme in mind, Jade and Gboyega embraced the vintage and rustic feel to their reception venue (The Pig on the Beach, at Studland). They had use of the roundhouse and summer house, which they were able to decorate with fresh flowers the day before. Surrounded by trees and with a view of the sea, the natural location on the Dorset coast gives this wedding a destination flavour – and it’s beautiful.

Have you ever wondered how wedding planners and stylists get married? Me too! Today I’m thrilled to say we have all the answers, as lovely Lauren and David are sharing their stunning Wiltshire wedding on the English Wedding blog today. Lauren is the owner of Lauren Alexander Weddings – she’s also an English Wedding reader and has shared some fantastic tips with us in a brilliant interview (which carries on beneath all of the beautiful photographs). Lauren and David describe their day as, “Fun, boozy, eclectic, beautiful, happy, musical and ‘us’.” – which is, for me, everything the perfect wedding could ever need. There are stunning styling touches as well – plenty of DIY ideas and the FUNNEST and most gorgeous wedding shoes! I just know you’ll love this! Over to Lauren…

Stunning wedding at Larmer Tree Gardens, with Ben Goode Photography on English-Wedding.com (24)

“I used English Wedding a lot for inspiration for our wedding and within my wedding planning and styling business.  Our reception is set in the gorgeous Larmer Tree Gardens, a Victorian pleasure garden, and we got married in a lovely rustic and small village church in Milton on Stour. We used local suppliers to the area as we thought it was so important, but at the same time we also did a fair amount on our own too.”

Refined elegance is a thing we do oh so well in this country – and today’s couple Charlotte and Nick chose to keep their day perfectly elegant with pristine details and the prettiest styling. Pale blues and white florals make this a really beautiful day, with the cake and bouquet both being showstoppers I think you will LOVE!

Beautiful bride Charlotte wears a stunning traditional dress with embroidered bodice and layers upon layers of tulle for a fabulous skirt full of movement – while her gorgeous groom Nick looks the part in a traditional morning suit with a pale blue tie and white wedding waistcoat.

Charlotte and Nick chose our lovely friend and English Wedding member Nicola Norton Photography to capture their day. Nicola is a Hertfordshire wedding photographer who covers the surrounding counties, including magnificent Chicheley Hall where the wedding reception took place. Before heading to the hall, the happy couple paid a quick visit to Charlotte’s horses to say hi – and get some adorable photos of their little family! [more on Nicola’s blog here!]

It’s the weekend so let’s PLAY! I have the funnest, prettiest, PINKEST wedding to share with you today, with gorgeous couple Poppy and Panos. They married in church and had a reception at Rectory Farm in Cambridge, where they styled the marquee with two beautiful big chandeliers hanging from the roof, and decorated the dace floor with huge pink paddle balloons with pink and white tassels. The David Austin roses everywhere are such a show stopper – this is most definitely a wedding for those of us who love pink!

Nicola did the photos for my sister in law’s sister’s wedding, she also did the photography for a wedding I was a guest at. From looking at her pictures and experiencing her bubbly personality we knew Nicola was the photographer for us! This turned out to be TOTALLY true!

Hey Lovely! I’m having the busiest day with calligraphy orders in my little studio today, so apologies for the slightly later-than-usual blog post! I’m excited to share this pretty folk festival styled wedding which was done on a tight budget, believe it or not! The personal touches make this day ever so special: both Lauren & Stefan are involved with the morris dancing & folk music scene, which adds a wonderful traditional, old English flavour to their day! The gorgeous couple had a friend play Lauren down the aisle and were given a morris guard of honour as they left the church before having a dance. They used Lauren’s fathers old American Camaro for the transport and had two different bands in the evening, one of which was Stefan’s dad’s band!

“Our venue didn’t need much decoration at all, we just did the usual table decorations and gift table, that was all. I put together our wedding favours. They were hangover kits for a giggle so we included paracetemol, plasters, a tea bag, chewing gum, a berocca sachet and a couple of other extras. I also bought fake flowers from The Range to put into bunches and decorated the aisle in the church with them.

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I have a wonderfully bright and beautiful wedding to share with you today – say hi to gorgeous couple Bethan & Tom, who were married at Brinsop Court in Hereford. Their wedding was relaxed and elegant, with a classic English countryside style – and it’s simply perfect. I adore the floral styling and Bethan’s dress is just perfect! “After trying on A LOT of gowns in many, many bridal boutiques and loving quite a few of them I didn’t think I would have that moment of ‘this is it!’… but on a spur of the moment visit to a store in Cardiff I tried on the gown which I would later walk down the aisle in, and twirled in front of my Mam, we both looked at each other and said ‘this is the one’.
I was a little in shock too as it was the complete opposite of what I had been looking at and thought I would wear – turns out that isn’t a cliche, it actually happens!

How did you choose your photographer?

We tried a range of methods, from googling and using wedding supplier websites but in the end it was searching #devonweddingphotographer on Instagram that led us to Anthony. We loved Anthony’s style and after exploring his website of work as well, we arranged to meet with him.

Happy Monday, lovelies! How was your weekend? Did you see our FOUR features on English Wedding this weekend? Huge thanks to Jordanna Marston Photography for sharing her best 10 London wedding venues with us on Saturday – that was fab! And we LOVED the sustainable wedding inspiration shoot on Saturday morning. Lovely Charlene‘s wedding videos (Love Gets Sweeter) made the blog look so lovely on Sunday. Meanwhile, we have been sofa shopping and then walking in the mountains… a weekend of two halves! I’m pooped – but happy to be at my desk again and ready to share some wedding loveliness with you today!

Jenn and Jon were married in September at Barley Wood in Somerset, and chose lovely English Wedding member Howell Jones Photography to capture their day. Jenn told us the venue is owned by the YMCA and all the proceeds go back into the charity. They train apprentices on site who look after the grounds and the venue – they have a really relaxed, laid back attitude, but give great constructive advice and support.
