If I ask you right now, what is a wedding? I’m guessing the occasion that springs to mind will be at least a little formal, decorative, perhaps with someone in a white dress or a gold or red lehenga, guests in sparkly or flowery summer attire and plenty of suits and ties. These are the things we can’t help ourselves expecting, based on everything the media and tradition tells us a wedding ‘should’ be.
A beautiful summer wedding with amazing images by Kent wedding photographer Benjamin Toms. Joe and Dilini are utterly gorgeous, elegant and relaxed and wonderful together. I adore natural wedding photography like this: Ben’s photography style has always been timeless, authentic and with a focus on the moments that matter more than anything in the world. I’ve saved some favourites of my own to share on instagram – watch out for a collection of hugs on @englishweddingblog which brought a tear to my eye!
Here’s something amazing to go with your sunshine today! A colourful, crazy beautiful whirlwind of a wedding full of joy, laughter and love. Rike and Sachin spent two days at Château du Feÿ in France, surrounded by all their best people. As their award-winning wedding photographers York Place Studios put it, “Day one was a colourful Indian celebration, announcing itself with plenty of fanfare, whilst day two presented a characterful and emotional wedding reception.”
This is everything we love at English Wedding. Authentic, joyful, exciting weddings where traditions are what you choose to celebrate your cultures (rather than rules to be adhered to!) The joy in Rike and Sachin’s eyes, and shining from their guests’ grins, is so fabulously real.
The artistic and personal touches in this stunning Devon wedding speak to my heart. Katie and Calum look amazing, and the florals are incredible. This is a relaxed wedding filled with love and warmth, captured beautifully by London-based documentary wedding photographer Emis Weddings. Emis works across the UK and internationally as a destination wedding photographer and I’m very proud to say Emis is a member of English Wedding.

Your best wedding moment or memory
Leaving the church with Muse playing at the church bells ringing.
The backdrop to this lovely wedding is breathtaking. Gorgeous couple Emma and Jack were married at the London Wetland Centre, where they said their vows in the glass-walled observatory overlooking lush greenery and calm waters. The location is spectacular, the images by Buckinghamshire-based documentary wedding photographer Andy Siddders are simply perfect.
