I know you’re going to love a wedding if I find myself beaming at my screen as I write it all up. And today I did just that, SO many times! It’s not just the beautiful bride and gorgeous groom, and it’s not just Sally Rawlins’ amazing images which are making all my wedding bloggy senses tingle… it’s the words. It’s the heartfelt story of a wedding, the focus on connection and family, and the generous and glowing reviews for some fabulous suppliers, which are wonderful to hear. Gemma & Sam’s day is going into my secret little ‘favourite weddings‘ folder and will most certainly be making a reappearance on the blog one day in the future, for sure!

Gone are the days of rigid rules regarding what brides and grooms can wear on their wedding days. Nowadays, you can essentially wear whatever wedding attire you’d like to – and while that gives you plenty of freedom, it can leave you feeling overwhelmed and at a loss as to where to start putting your outfits together. This is especially true when the big day you’re planning involves two grooms or two brides (or two people without any labels at all!).
I’d elope. I’ve never shied away from saying this: if I got married right now, I’d elope. Easy. There’s just something wildly romantic about it being just the two of you (plus an amazing celebrant and lovely photographer, obvs) – and escaping into remote nature to say beautiful words – it’s my dream. So today’s glorious feature comes from stunning couple Matthew and Jane, with lovely Hannah Brooke Photography. I hope you’ll adore this as much as I do.
Even as a wedding blogger, you just don’t see this kind of beautiful that often. And I mean – my breath is taken, this stunning Scottish wedding is out of this WORLD! I stumbled across Richelle and Tom’s wedding via our lovely dressmaker member Felicity Westmacott. It goes without saying that Richelle’s dress is incredible; and indeed everything from this amazing (pre-pandemic) wedding is rocking my wedding bloggy world today – not least the brilliant couple who are the stars of it all.
Remember sunshine?! Today’s wedding is bursting with summer vibes, and comes from Devon’s glorious Rockbeare Manor. Meg is stunning in a beautiful dress from Brides of Chester; David’s suit is perfect for summertime in light grey with pale blue accents. This is another fabulous wedding from Devon wedding photographer Evolve Photography – one of the region’s busiest and best wedding photographers. Photographer Mark gets a fantastic review from lovely Meg and David – scroll to see the full feature!
We just want to say again thank you to all our suppliers and everyone who came to the wedding it was so special!
