I LOVE a local wedding! Living on the edge of the Lake District is a dream. We’re there every weekend exploring the mountains (and valleys, right now!) and the landscape never fails to take my breath away. Needless to say, it’s my favourite place for weddings and so sharing Jen & Alex’s day with you today is soooo exciting! Most of all I love their day for its relaxed and elegant vibe. Beautiful bride Jen’s dress is non-traditional…. stunningly slinky with a daring thigh split and incredible back detail, it’s by Atelier Pronovias. Alex looks fantastic in chinos and a classic white shirt (because suits are NOT a rule…. or if they are, they’re the first rule to break! I love this look!) The gorgeous couple chose a few of my favourite suppliers for their day: lovely Helen Jane Smiddy was their photographer; Kevin from Brackens of Bowness (“the unofficial god of flowers”) provided their amazing florals, and talented Charlotte of Sugar Ruffles designed their gorgeous wedding cake.

Good morning lovely! We have a week bursting full of weddings ahead – and today’s is fabulously glamorous, elegant and stylish. Gorgeous couple Emily and Adam tied the knot at Le Talbooth last May, choosing the very excellent D&A Photography to capture their day. Emily’s dress is a stunner – and the boys all look fantastic in black tie, don’t you think?

Relax & enjoy this beauty, it’s a special one!

How did you choose your photographer?

Our last wedding of the working week is this fabulously chic and modern celebration from Syrencot in Wiltshire. Yasmin is stunning in her Blue by Enzoani gown, and Mark every bit the English gent in a gorgeous number from Swagger & Swoon. Every detail is elegant and tasteful, as well as being beautifully captured by lovely Natasha from Honeydew Moments. Oh! And the clue’s in the name there… don’t miss the STUNNING golden hour portraits this lovely wedding photographer is known for! They’re towards the end of the feature and every bit worth the wait!

With love,

Morning beautiful! Ah – isn’t it lovely to have an extra day of weekend though? We’ve just basically been outside the whole time, away from humans and exploring nature. It’s been bliss! How about you? I’ve been thinking about wedding blogging – sometimes it just feels like pure, blissful escapism. I hope you get a flavour of that from reading the blog too! Looking at beautiful weddings all day is an absolute joy and today’s takes stunning to a whole new level! Charlotte and Alex are gorgeous, and their day is just amazing from start to finish – you’re going to LOVE this!

I bloody love this wedding – it’s full of love and laughter and FUN and hugs. There are belly laughs, there are beautiful styling touches. The setting is fabulous and the story of the day makes me smile. Oh, and Nicola and Alex are the most gorgeous couple! This is exactly how I imagine weddings after lockdown to be: the most amazing celebrations full of glorious contact and friendship and happiness. And the photos by super lovely (and major talented) Yorkshire wedding photographer John Hope tell the story of Nicola and Alex’s day beautifully.
