Retro-inspired weddings are trending in 2024, inspired by Pinterest’s Groovy Nuptials trend report, which focuses on the styles of the ‘70s – and we have the hottest trend right here!
Whilst the seventies’ sequins and feathers might feel right at home at a wedding, we’ve seen couples themselves leading the way, with customised denim jackets in amazing designs at lots of this summer’s weddings. Fashion experts are also forecasting that custom denim will be the unexpected gatecrasher of this wedding season.
I’m so excited to share this with you all! As regular readers will be well aware, The Ferry House wedding venue in Kent is a member of English Wedding and listed in our wedding supplier directory. They reached out to one of their favourite wedding suppliers, Chris Blackledge Photography, to ask him all about their venue! It’s a brilliant read – and wonderful to learn about a place from the perspective of a wedding photographer. (Of course we’ve got some amazing photos from Chris to share with you too!)

Our first wedding of the month is a beauty – a gorgeous, head over heels in love couple and a wonderful setting. Hannah & Sam were married in Cornwall, had a really personal day and chose our friend and English Wedding member Hannah Timm Photography to capture their day. (They’ve shared a brilliant review for their favourite Cornwall wedding photographer below!) The venue is Roscarrock Manor Farm, the couple’s outfits are summery with a boho vibe, and the little personal touches are sweet as can be. As always, see more at @englishweddingblog over the next day or two!
