We’re bringing you all the sunny vibes today with this super lovely wedding from Somerset. Meg’s horse gets a starring role in the day, and even he couldn’t tell the sunflowers weren’t real (he had a nibble to be sure)! This is a glorious Hestercombe wedding with pretty styling touches, and a fantastic interview from the bride and groom.

Emmeline Smith explores 5 ways to make greener choices for your big day – without making compromises – which can even save you money!

1. The Dress

Whatever you chose to wear on your big day, wedding attire is a great place to start making more considered choices. With clothes worth £12.5 billion being chucked into landfill in UK each year, buying less is a great way to start helping the environment. A wedding dress costs up to £3000, so it’s also a great place to save money too!

Just one tiny little detail can make your wedding look amazing. Today’s shoot gathers them all beautifully together – from a twinkling fairy light canopy to floral meadows and delicate floating candles for a romantic, luxury wedding look.

The photography sings of summertime and blissful light. We’re in love with fine art wedding photographer Natalie D‘s images, which capture the essence of this shoot so beautifully.

Back when our grandparents were tying the knot, dancing was a thing most people did regularly. Almost everyone could at least pull off a makeshift two-step, while others were used to having a full dance card every weekend.

Sadly, this tradition has largely faded away, which is why you and your better half might have considered taking a few dance lessons ahead of your big day.

While you’re preparing your moves, take a moment to consider your guests.

This one’s for all the adventurous souls out there. Don’t tame your spirits to have the wedding the media says you ‘should’. Follow your hearts, and let your commitment take a shape that suits the two of you perfectly. Elope in a spectacular location, if that’s the epitome of who you are as a couple!
