Romantic English country garden editorial in Somerset

Published by Claire Gould on

Confession time! I don’t often publish editorial photoshoots without a couple – more on that in a sec – but since James and Kerrie Photography have been so lovely I really wanted to share this with you! I would much rather show you inspiration with a couple – but for many wedding suppliers, it’s super hard to find a couple who’ll sign up for a day like this, let alone a menswear supplier to loan a suit!

So when James and Kerrie sent over this beautiful editorial for me to blog, I said yes. I would love to share more editorial content with couples – but when wedding creatives are genuinely struggling to find models they can afford, I’m happy to feature their hard work even without a partner for this lovely bride!  So consider this my call for more editorial content with couples, and more representation of men in the wedding media! If there’s a national suit hire company out there willing to loan menswear for editorial, please do reach out and let us know!

If anyone out there has a styled wedding editorial photoshoot with 2 grooms, gorgeous styling and decor and a team of suppliers who’ve worked hard and want to be seen, PLEASE send it our way!

With thanks to Somerset wedding photographers James & Kerrie Photography, here’s today’s inspiration for you to enjoy!

Set in the heart of Somerset at the stunning Midelney Manor, this photoshoot was designed to inspire modern couples planning a relaxed yet beautifully styled garden wedding in the heart of the English countryside.

We embraced soft pink tones throughout, from Laura Le Page‘s delicate bridal makeup with a natural, soft bridal look, dewy makeup and Amanda Louise‘s loose up do with soft curls, to create a fresh, feminine palette that felt effortlessly romantic and perfect for the the English countryside.

Our cake maker The Gorge Bakehouse created a pretty textured floral cake, displayed in a woven basket beautiful styled by our wedding stylist Scarlett Rose Events for a charming countryside twist.

Our florist The Willow Blossom Florist made bridal bouquet baskets overflowing with seasonal blooms with blush-hued florals, offering a fresh take on traditional wedding flowers.

The picturesque English gardens at Midelney Manor, a family owned wedding venue in Somerset, were the perfect backdrop for a modern English country celebration.

With thanks to this team of talented wedding suppliers
