Emma & Matt’s Burrow Farm Gardens wedding, with Snapdragon Photography

Published by Claire Gould on

I’m thrilled to share this beautiful Devon wedding for stunning couple Emma & Matt. They were married at Burrow Farm Gardens and chose Devon Wedding Photographer Snapdragon Photography to capture their day! Special touches include hired trees which make the styling really natural and sustainable – and Emma’s Rosa Clara dress is an absolute beauty!

Wedding photographer review

Kayleigh has been wonderful to work with from day one. Her relaxed and friendly approach paired with such professional and high quality work makes for a dream combination.

Your best wedding moment or memory

Our ceremony had to wait a few minutes whilst Matt ran from the church to move our getaway car since it was blocking the road for a tractor… I had to hide to avoid being seen but it broke the ice and makes for a good story to tell! Matts mum, Sarah, also found several 4 leaf clovers the morning of the wedding which were in a little vase on the top table for us when we sat down – they are being pressed with some of our flowers for us to keep.

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

We had a cheese cake (cheddar, brie etc) instead of a wedding cake and guests were invited to try their hand at welly throwing to add a spot of country competition to the day!

We hired trees from Wild trees in Langford to add to the marquee, they looked magical and helped us keep a simplistic nature theme without hundreds of flowers.

Venue name + review

Burrow Farm Gardens – Absolutely beautiful and a dream to work with. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and our guests loved being able to explore the gardens during the afternoon.

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

Bride – Rosa Clara, Namir – totally fell in love with this dress the moment I put it on.

Groom – Hugo Boss suit

The White Collection – Portishead

A wonderful experience from start to finish, knowledgeable and friendly staff with no feeling of being hurried or pushed to make a decision not to mention an absolutely stunning selection of dresses.

Florist name + review

Busy Bee Florist, Axminster

Ali is incredibly talented, she sat and made lots of notes as I described my vision. I was absolutely blown away when the bouquets arrived on the day, they were everything I had hoped and the additional flowers for the church/reception looked wonderful too.

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

We had name places made from shotgun cartridges and our tables were all named after mountains we have climbed together with matching stationery.

Wedding rings

We made our wedding rings (Matt made mine, and I his) with Carole in Cornwall several months before the wedding – a really special experience and one I would recommend to anyone! https://www.caroleallenjewellery.co.uk/product/make-wedding-rings-cornwall/

First dance song? Playlist recommendations?

I See The Light, Tangled – Matt is a huge disney fan and the song was particularly appropriate for us.

Hair + makeup name + review

Laura Le Page

I absolutely loved every minute of having my make up done, my skin felt so natural and fresh whilst achieving a really special look for the day. Despite it being the hottest day of the year it lasted well and Laura helped me prepare with a few essentials for topping up throughout the day. My bridesmaids were also delighted with their look.

Jessica Faye

Jess is an all round gem to have involved in your wedding, she’ll bring the energy and fun and effortlessly creates such lovely styles. A last minute change of plan due to the weather was no problem and Jess helped me create a look I think I like even more than my plan A!

String quartet

Obligato String Quartet – such a special addition to our ceremony and a beautiful way to set the scene for our drinks reception.
