We stayed and got married at the Gilpin hotel near the lake house.

Yes we did, I had a lovely bouquet from carmen campbell.

The Gilpin Lake House Elopement of Alison and Darren | Lake District Wedding Photographer · February 6, 2024 at 3:11 pm

[…] Alison and Darren had their autumn Just the Two Of Us elopement wedding at Glipin Lake House. Gilpin Lake House is situated in 100 acres of private grounds just a few miles away from the lake of Windermere in the Lake District. The beautifully secluded rounds make a perfect location for a romantic secret wedding. Alison and Darren’s day started at The Gilpin Hotel, just a mile down the road from the Lake House, where they were getting ready for their elopement wedding. I joined them there to start their photography with a few photos of them getting ready before we moved on to the Lake House for their wedding ceremony. It is always a pleasure to be asked to photograph a wedding at Gilpin Lake House, and everything that you need is right in front of you for amazing wedding photographs in a stunning and private location. Alison and Darren’s inmate wedding took place on a beautiful September day, one of my favourite times of year for wedding photography. After their wedding ceremony we took a leisurely stroll around the grounds and I was able to capture some beautiful and natural looking wedding photographs for Alison and Darren. My approach to wedding photography is to be relaxed in the way that I work, with nothing too posed or contrived to help my couples enjoy having their photographs taken on their wedding day. As well as the woodland and beautiful grounds surrounding Gilpin Lake House we also had use of it’s own private lake, Knipe Tarn. With use of a private lake and a couple of rowing boats we took to the water where I was able to capture some photos using my drone as well as some nice candid photographs of Alison and Darren boating on the lake.It was a pleasure to spend a few hours photographing Alison and Darren’s Just The Two Of US wedding at Gilpin Lake House, and I am very grateful for them choosing me to be their Lake District Wedding Photographer. Alison and Darren’s wedding has also been featured on the English Wedding blog, which you can find here – English Wedding Blog […]
