Lizzie & Eddy’s beautiful Temple of Minerva and Farm Camp wedding, with Simon Biffen Photography
Happy Monday my lovelies! Have you had a nice weekend? It’s wonderfully autumnal out there now… my favourite time of year to be outdoors (and then snuggle inside with a hot chocolate and the fire lit!) To start off the new week we have a gorgeous wedding to share with you today. Stunning couple Lizzie and Eddy’s wedding happened in safer, covid free times and it’s beautiful. Their focus on celebration and family is everything – it reminds me how fabulous those carefree times were, and how special they’ll be when we finally return to normal. For those of you planning your future wedding – this is a beauty, the images by lovely Somerset wedding photographer Simon Biffen are glorious and I hope you love today’s feature!

How did you choose your photographer?
He is a friend of ours and a brilliant photographer
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Yes! We couldn’t have asked for anything more from a wedding photographer, Simon was incredible. So easy to work with, super professional, discreet, friendly and relaxed, he captured the most perfect photos of our day from start to finish. It’s made us so happy to have such beautiful memories to look back on and share with our guests. Thank you Simon.
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
We had our ceremony at the small and beautiful Temple of Minerva in the Botanical Gardens in Baths Royal Victoria Park, we had a picnic lunch in the gardens here after the ceremony before heading to the Farm Camp for our wedding reception.
The Farm Camp is a beautiful luxury campsite tucked away in rural Wiltshire. As you drive along the bumpy track it truly feels as though you are escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life and entering a simple and magical world. Beautiful bell tents are dotted around the grounds and the woodland areas are scattered with hammocks and hideaways. As soon as we visited we knew it was the most perfect spot for our wedding, a place where the party could go on all weekend and the children could run wild.

Special styling touches
Hannah Morris of Enamelware Events provided the couple with their enamelware crockery and extras. This included the enamel trays with handles that were used for the outdoor buffet, enamel plates and bowls, as well as glass tumblers, stainless steel cutlery and fabric napkins. This was dropped off the day before the wedding and picked up the day after the big day. Hannah is keen to reduce waste at weddings and events and is particularly fond of outdoor and rustic weddings, which was very much the style of her own wedding held on a farm.
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
Yes, I fell in love with Laure De Sagazan as a designer as soon as I saw her wedding dresses at the Mews in Clifton, choosing which one was right for me was the hard part, but I was so happy with my final choice. I even managed to get sweet matching dresses for my 3 adorable little flower girls.

As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
We had the most amazing caterer Sean (http://seaninthewoods.co.uk/) who is a Michelin standard chef who specialises in cooking out in the wild. He cooked the most incredible feast for us all on open fires in the woodland. He also made our wedding cakes for us – Chocolate and Cherry layered Gateaux made to look like slices of log. Her made one per table and each table was given a mini axe to smash into the cake! They were insanely delicious!!
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
My mum made beautiful bunting from soft linen in muted pastel shades – we hung this on all of the guests bell tents as well as the round house and tipi (https://www.buffalotipi.com/) where we had our reception and dance floor
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
Our wedding readings were:
Always Love Each Other – Larry S. Chengges
The Blessing of the Hands
All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, by Robert Fulgham
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
Our first dance song was L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole
