Happy Monday my lovelies! Have you had a nice weekend? It’s wonderfully autumnal out there now… my favourite time of year to be outdoors (and then snuggle inside with a hot chocolate and the fire lit!) To start off the new week we have a gorgeous wedding to share with you today. Stunning couple Lizzie and Eddy’s wedding happened in safer, covid free times and it’s beautiful. Their focus on celebration and family is everything – it reminds me how fabulous those carefree times were, and how special they’ll be when we finally return to normal. For those of you planning your future wedding – this is a beauty, the images by lovely Somerset wedding photographer Simon Biffen are glorious and I hope you love today’s feature!

This is a guest article by English Wedding member Hannah Morris (hires out enamelware crockery at Enamelware Events)
and Lauren Alexander (wedding planner, stylist and event coordinator at Lauren Alexander Weddings).

Styling your Tables

So you have the dress and suit, you’ve got the band and the venue is all booked, tables seem to be the next item high up on the list for many couples. This is because the tables really are a highlight of the day. From setting the scene to colour schemes, the tables create the ambience of the day, influencing how people eat, how they communicate, how they see the couple as well as what it looks like. Often my couples know what their table shouldn’t look like, and from here we springboard to what they would like their table to be.

The English Wedding Directory is our curated list of brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta and Facebook are updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!

These lovely people have joined the English Wedding Directory in the last couple of weeks – and we have more coming up to share with you soon! Do take a moment to discover them, and if you like what you see why not get in touch and even book this weekend?

Grab a cup of something cosy and spiced, and join me to gaze happily at today’s breathtaking editorial photoshoot. I’ve fallen head over heels for the warm, deep colours and the homely, hygge atmosphere of these beautiful images by Lucy Baker Photography. The creative team were led by lovely Lauren Alexander Weddings, who found a charming little run down outbuilding at Holbrook Manor and transformed it with a beautiful dessert and snack table. The team were so creative, upcycling a low hanging branch with handmade bespoke glass, playing with the sunset, the light and turning it into a perfect spot for photos.

Welcome to a rather special boho wedding inspiration feature, all the way from lovely Somerset. We’re talking Bianca Jagger-style bridal attire, sleek silhouettes and on-trend styling with a rustic but chic and fashion-forward aesthetic. Our bride is stunning in a two piece bridal jumpsuit from House of Ollichon and her groom looks amazing in a super stylish suit from Suave Owl. The setting is brilliantly styled, with twinkling fairy lights, copper accents and stunning floral arrangements by Flower Mouse Floristry. The use of twisted willow on the tables is so beautiful – the floral arrangements include peach and cream flowers, dark green foliage, pampas grass and peaches, with striking metallic copper accents.
