I was over the moon when Susannah Halsey got in touch with me over the summer, to share this breathtakingly beautiful wedding inspiration. When it comes to English garden wedding styling ideas, I do love to know that this particular wedding blog shines out from the crowd. Today’s images are some of the very best – they’re from the glorious Gaddesden Estate in Hertfordshire – a relatively new wedding venue, owned by the Halsey family.
Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the beautiful venue of South Farm in Cambridgeshire. Styling is rustic luxe with a focus on sustainability, incorporating organic fabrics, a vegan cake and ethically sourced glassware, all curated by lovely Janine at Waterfall Wedding Decor.
It’s becoming more and more viable to have a sustainable and vegan wedding in 2019 and beyond. Suppliers are switching on to sustainability more than ever before, and in every category from cake designers to stationers, wedding dress makers and caterers you WILL find a wonderful, ethical supplier if you put in a little research.
Today’s wedding style edit from Thyme Lane Photography is one of those that make my toes tingle for how perfect it all is. The tone is moodily beautiful, with boho elegant styling in a lovely English country house. The venue – Lanwades Hall, which is hidden in the Suffolk countryside – has the most stunning rooms with beautiful light and large gardens, and the team truly made the most of the amazing location.
The shoot shows how an almost completely monochrome, minimal scheme can work in a venue like Lanwades Hall and still create a lot of interest by giving contrast to the rich colours of the great variety of backdrops.
