Some of my absolute favourite things are happy can’t-stop-smiling couples, brilliant reviews for my favourite people, and discovering new wedding folks who just sound amazing. We have ALL of these things on the blog today thanks to lovely bride and groom Sarah and Tommy. They married at Holdenby House in Northamptonshire, and chose our friend and English Wedding member Damien Vickers Photography to capture their day. It’s an absolute beauty – do scroll all the way to the end, and check out some of the fantastic suppliers they recommend if you’re planning to get married in the Midlands or East of England!

The “kiss the bride” moment in this wedding film is just gorgeous… I’m so happy we could share this special little look back at our couple Lorna & Keanu’s day, featured right here on English Wedding last week. We fell head over heels for the wonderfully eclectic Stradsett Hall, and were smitten with our lovely friend Damien Vickers‘s fabulous photographs. Today we’re sharing a glorious 1 minute film of their day by Mike Savory Films. (You’ll want to watch it at least 3 times, so maybe grab a cuppa.) It’s a beauty!“english

A heartfelt micro wedding in a refreshingly quirky setting, with the loveliest couple and breathtaking images from Cambridge wedding photographer Damien Vickers. We’ve fallen head over heels for Stradsett Hall, and we’re ALL about the dress & suit combo and the incredible greenery and floral styling. Lorna & Keanu are a gorgeous couple – don’t miss their interview below! “english

How did you choose your photographer?

After browsing what felt like hundreds of websites we came across Damien’s website and social media. His bright and relaxed style seemed like they would be a perfect fit for the atmosphere we wanted on our day!

Oodles of craft projects and personal touches for a stunning Cambridgeshire wedding. Sophie is sooo beautiful and Craig looks fab in a relaxed country style suit. There are swing boats and paper lanterns, stunning florals (we do love those dahlias!) and lots of vintage touches for this travel theme wedding. It’s wonderful to see a late summer wedding from 2019… let’s keep everything crossed for events like this later in 2021! All images by #englishweddingmember Damien Vickers Photography – what an incredible day this was!“english

A treat from pre-lockdown times! I LOVE how Andrew and Camilla casually mention that they gatecrashed their own daughter’s christening… to get married! Surprise weddings are the best thing in the world… and the images from this gorgeous pair’s day tell such a lovely story. This is such a heartwarming story, and I hope in this week of turmoil for everyone, it will bring a smile. Andrew and Camilla are gorgeous – I love everything about their day. A few of my personal highlights – Camilla got changed behind the organ. Godparents found out about the wedding the day before – with a surprise stag / hen meal – where they found out they were best men & bridesmaids too! Their dog is with them every step of the way… The photos are wonderful – they bring a tear to my eye every time I see them. Huge thanks to English Wedding member and talented Cambridge wedding photographer Damien Vickers Photography for sharing his images with us. I hope you love them.“english
