We’re feeling the joys of autumn today with this beautiful September wedding from lovely Rutland wedding photographer Amanda Forman. The colours are glorious, our couple are stunning and the flowers and little styling touches are out of this world! We’ve saved some of our fave pics for insta, so do head on over to @englishweddingblog after you’ve ready Chloe and James’s interview and supplier recommendations just below!

Our wedding was everything we had dreamt it would be, one of my youngest bridesmaids had a gorgeous little bespoke dress made for her, I bought a small size from where I got the other dresses, and took it to a local woman in Stamford who created a mini version of the big girl dresses. A rust velvet dream!

In the age of technology and social media, it is difficult to imagine a snap-free ceremony or special event where devices are not allowed.

However, ‘unplugged weddings’ have long been a popular trend, with 75% of Brit couples admitting they are having – or considering – a ceremony without phones or cameras. The only ‘invitee’ that’s allowed to document the big day with a device is the professional photographer.

As with all things, unplugged weddings come with their fair share of positives and drawbacks.

Welcome to the loveliest styled shoot, dripping with regal elegance and still deliciously styled!

This beauty comes from a team of Kent wedding suppliers and was sent in by lovely Evie at The Country Blush, who introduces the feature and explains how the styling touches came together. All images are by lovely Neli Prahova – more on the English Wedding insta!

The flowers are lovely; the splashes of purple give a beautifully considered nod to a regal style – and I LOVE that although this is a styled photoshoot, the team includes a celebrant and a ceremony setup (True Blue Ceremonies) – as we’re ALL about celebrants here on English Wedding!

But mistakes can happen; and they often become favourite wedding stories over the years. Wedding magician Close-Up Chris asked around his wedding supplier friends and discovered some common wedding day mistakes couples really do make – and how to avoid them!
