There’s a lot of pressure to have your Best Day Ever on the day you get married. And weirdly, the machine that is the wedding media would have you believe that your Best Day Ever depends on the stuff you buy to make it pretty.
Here’s the absolute proof that your wedding day will be amazing because of who you are, and what you say and do, and who you invite, and how the day FEELS, over and above how it looks.

We interviewed a few photographers. Jaye really understood our vision, and she was able to do make up as well which meant less contractors during very uncertain covid times.
Our last wedding of the year is a beauty. I’m thrilled it’s turned out this way – we’ve been sharing weddings by London photographers York Place Studios for years and they always, always light up the blog. Faye and Mark are stunning, their day is beautiful and I love that it’s so bursting full of family and joy and playfulness and excitement.
It’s been a year. This wedding happened in safer times before masks and distancing and is both a memory of how gloriously normal things used to be, and a reminder of everything we have to look forward to, when the pandemic is finally over.
As we come to the end of the year, we have some of our most beautiful weddings to share with you. I’ve been excited to publish Chris and Sarah’s day – the romance and love are just amazing, and the images that capture their day are outstanding. This is a London wedding which will stick in my mind for a long time to come for so many reasons. I really do hope you love it too.
Winter’s classic colours are timeless and beautiful. Reds teamed with soft whites and green accents can be brought right up to date with softer, complementary colours. Adding a splash of gold is genius; playing with shades from pale reds to deep burgundies gives scope for stunning displays and gorgeous design. This colour palette works wonderfully for weddings throughout the winter season all the way through to Valentine’s Day. We’ve taken inspiration from our lovely friends Amanda Karen Photography to share some of our favourite ideas with you today.
