Happy Sunday lovelies! What do you have planned for today? We’re taking the day slowly after an amazing St Patrick’s day yesterday! So I thought we’d share a lovely spring wedding with you today. Liz and Matt were married in May last year, and celebrated at Lineham Farm, a beautifully secluded wedding venue between Bramhope and Eccup in North Leeds. I adore Liz’s pretty bouquet with daisies, roses and forget-me-nots… the white flowers are Wizard of Oz dahlias, and they look so beautifully different! Yorkshire wedding photographer Jenny Maden was there to capture events in her beautifully natural style.

“I started the day at Liz’s parents house, with the church just a short stroll away (albeit Liz arrived in her dads vintage car….too good an opportunity to miss). The morning was really relaxed, surrounded by Liz family and closest friends….who pulled together a wedding playlist to get ready to, that morning.

Beautiful bride Hana married Alex at Gate Street Barn on the scorching bank holiday last August. Despite the drama of a street fair trying to stop the bride’s car getting to the church (something that could only happen in the Surrey countryside!) the day was filled with so many laughs and so much love. With a gorgeous summer evening sunset, and the bride and groom recreating the iconic Dirty Dancing routine as their first dance, it is safe to day that they had the time of their lives!

Alex went to secondary school with Jesse and saw that she had become a photographer on Facebook, so i went on her website to have a look and was blown away at how amazing and natural her photography was.

How was your weekend, lovely people? We escaped to the hills in the Lakes yesterday – it was beautifully sunny, and (unbelievably after last weekend) t-shirt weather! Yay!! I hope you had the most wonderful weekend and got some sunshine too!

Now you may have seen Zade Film Co in the English Wedding Directory. (Take a peek here!) As soon as I saw their website I knew we had to feature beautiful Kimberley and Ben’s wedding at Grendon Court. Grab a cuppa, watch it here – the happy couple were blessed with such a perfect summer’s day, and captured beautifully by Zade Film Co.

We had the pleasure of filming Kimberley & Ben’s stunning wedding in Herefordshire last September. The wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St Catherine’s Church in Hoarwithy, an amazing Italianate Romanesque and Byzantine church with stunning architecture. We then moved onto to Grendon Court, a scenic barn style venue surrounded by rolling Herefordshire hills.

Beautiful bride Kirsty and Simon’s wedding is wonderfully summery with beautiful florals in the most idyllic setting. The couple had gone to great lengths to set up their marquee reception at home, and Simon’s mum had been working on their garden for a very long time to ensure it was just perfect and full of blooming flowers and greenery. Their wedding celebrations made for a lovely relaxed afternoon, complete with ice cream and croquet on the front lawn.

“We decorated the marquee with bunting. Our friend had made us a beautiful bar out of used pallets. The tables had hessian and lace runners and log slice centre peices with an assortment of silk flowers in milk bottles and jam jars. As we were having an afternoon tea the tables were laid out with mismatched vintage China which added to the decor. We made all of our own stationery, even cutting out hundreds of small triangles in different floral patterns to make bunting which was the theme of the invites. We had rubber stamps made up of our names and wedding date for the front of the invite and printed the inserts ourselves. We made all of our wedding favours which were small jars of sweets which also doubled as place settings as they had guests’ names on.”

Happy weekend!! Oh, this one’s been a long time coming… we’re heading out to the Lakes for adventures today, but I had to share this gorgeous wedding with you first! Beautiful bride Sarah and gorgeous hubby’s Rob’s big day was in Worcestershire, with the reception in a 15th century barn (The Fleece Inn, Bretforton). I love the warm atmosphere of their day which just shines in all the photos – Sarah’s smile and oh, that dress!!!

“Our flowers were done by my amazingly talented cousin Anna who runs a floristry business called ‘Wedding flowers in Cornwall’. We wanted to incorporate thistles into our flowers as we got engaged in Scotland. (Rob proposal on a secluded beach in Dunbar, incidentally my new married name). We went primarily for white flowers with sand roses to highlight in my bouquet and lots of greenery. We also had white gladioli in the church hanging downwards that were just gorgeous.

Stunning bride Jill & Luke were married at Carlowrie Castle last year in a beautiful wedding full of glamour. Their minimal, elegant styling is wonderful – and set to be a big trend for 2018 / 2019 weddings! Jill wore a stunning Suzanne Neville gown and Jimmy Choo shoes, and Luke and his groomsmen were in black tie.  Jill’s bridesmaids wore matching cowl back gold sequin dresses and also had a bridesman wearing his tux with a gold sequin bow tie.

Our wedding florist was recommended to us by Jen at Carlowrie Castle, who had used Vickys Flowers for her own wedding. We had pure white gypsophila with white roses for my own bouquet. Bridesmaids carried pure white gypsophila, Luke’s buttonhole was a white rose, and the groomsmen’s buttonholes were pure white gypsophila. The ceremony table had a pure white gypsophila arrangement, with white pillar boxes that had tall vases with pure white gypsophila.

David and Louise’s wedding is classic, elegant and makes the most of a magnificent venue – the picture gallery at Royal Holloway, University of London. Louise is stunning in an Enzoani gown with a pretty lace layer and delicate straps – a beautiful summer dress. Decoration and styling touches are minimal, with a simple colour palette of navy blue and ivory. Their cake is gorgeous – made by Louise’s friend and former housemate – “she did such an amazing job and we loved it!

“One of the reasons we chose Royal Holloway was that the Picture Gallery where we had our wedding breakfast didn’t need any decoration beyond the tables because you weren’t allowed the touch the expensive paintings! We did decorate our evening reception room though and ordered balloons as well as bringing down the table decorations from the dinner. My aunt also made some lovely bunting to hang.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you’ve had the loveliest weekend. Did you spot our two amazing weddings from Priston Mill and Union Club Soho over the weekend? Today we’re heading all the way across to Canterbury for a beautiful summer wedding at Goodnestone Park. The venue is AMAZING and it’s also where Jane Austen stayed just before she wrote Pride & Prejudice.

Photographer Ami from Rubie Love Photography captured their day so beautifully. She told me Polly and James were the most wonderful couple with so much love for one another – and it totally comes across in their images from the day.

The lovely couple had on the day coordination from Georgie at Ethereal Events and beautiful florals by Lucy at Wild Bloom. Polly’s hair and makeup was beautifully done by the girls from Wye Beauty  and entertainment was provided by the highly recommended magician Chris Harding.

Today’s real wedding is a stunner: beautiful bride Sarah wears a breathtaking dress by Jesus Peiro, while her bridesmaids simply shine in vibrant red. Groom Tristan looks amazing in a Horace & Sons suit while his groomsmen (many, as recommended by Sarah in her interview below the images!) look distinctive and dapper in braces and flat caps! This is a stunning wedding shot by our lovely friend and Priston Mill Wedding Photographer Martin Dabek.

Our wedding flowers were big and colourful! Rustic feels to the decorations for the venue but still, lots of colour! Emma Norton was our florist. I cannot tell you how fantastic her work was and how well she understood what I wanted. Perfect.

Other than the flowers, we dotted around a few home made decs but the venue certainly didn’t need this. It is so beautiful and full of character as it is (I mean it has a working watermill in it!!)

Chloe and Sam’s chic Soho wedding is wonderfully non-traditional. I love Chloe’s approach to wedding planning – she avoided the traditional suppliers and sought out more unusual things to style their day. The venue (The Union Club) is fabulous – the surroundings just seem to suit Sam and Chloe perfectly, and I think the shots of them just loving walking to the venue and in the surrounding area are unique and fascinating! Flowers are by Wild at Heart and Chloe’s dress is from Phase Eight – doesn’t she look incredible?

My wedding dress was sparkly, chic and classic and fitted so nicely. We found it on a high street bridal window shopping spree to generate inspiration and it turned out to be the one. It was also under budget, I initially set out for a different design, I really wanted a loose, boho type dress with long sleeves but couldn’t find any ready to wear ones that I liked. It’s from Phase Eight at John Lewis bridal in Oxford Street.

This will brighten up your Wednesday – I promise! I’m totally in love with today’s wedding from The Copse, and Daisy and Will are just gorgeous – in fact everything about their wedding is just perfect from Daisy’s dress (wow!!) to the florals and greenery. Images are by English Wedding Directory member and super talented Essex wedding photographer Craig Williams – whose website and instagram are both wonderfully addictive!

Daisy and Will’s venue is fabulous. The Copse allows couples to choose their own caterer and bring wine with no corkage – which we think is pretty special! I know it’s a favourite of lovely friend, English Wedding feature writer and wedding planner, Jenna Hewitt. “Jenna ran everything for us and that meant we had much more time to relax and enjoy the day. Having Craig as our photographer and Jenna as our on the day coordinator made all the difference in the world.”

Happy Monday everyone! I thought we’d kick off this week with a really special wedding – one with the loveliest personal touches and a gorgeous bride and groom, in not-so-sunny Cornwall! Proof if ever it was needed that rain won’t spoil your wedding – because the memories captured and the landscape and styling of Chris and Lorna’s day are all so beautiful.

It was forecast to rain all day for Lorna and Chris’ wedding in Cornwall which was a bit of a worry for me as the photographer as well for the couple, but we must have been in a ‘magic pocket’ as the heavy rain turned into slight drizzle for a few hours just when we left St Sampson’s church after the ceremony to head to The Green for the reception and photos. The venue was only a few miles from where Lorna spent her childhood and she loved the familiar scenery. Although the setting was countryside, Lorna and Chris wanted to incorporate a few personal touches related to their connections to sailing- they both wore their sailing boots for the photos in the field. As the weather was very unpredictable Lorna’s mother’s parasol which she had on her wedding day came to good use!
