The most memorable weddings are those which are absolutely YOU. Charlie and Lucy’s personalities shine through the photos of their day: bursting with life and love, colourful and fun with a fabulous sense of humour. I get a real sense of excitement from these photos. There’s an authenticity that makes the moments feel closer, as though I’m there in the moment with every picture. I’ve said many times how much I love real documentary wedding photography for the atmosphere it brings to every shot. I can imagine these two leafing through their wedding album in twenty years time and being transported right back to the wedding day: it all feels so real!

A late blog this Friday, as I’m just back from a calligraphy workshop (it was ace!) I’m absolutely beaming at my screen seeing all the gorgeous pics from today’s wedding. The sunflowers are so happy and colourful, and Erina and Dave are the loveliest couple! This wedding just shines – it’s the perfect, joyful celebration to bring us into the weekend.

I was chatting to lovely Emma from Emma Jane Events back in January(!), and explaining what I do as a wedding blogger. I was smiling my little head off when I said the thing I love most is having an inbox full of gorgeous photos every day – and today’s welcome for Ellie Gillard is the perfect example of how all those amazing wedding pics make me grin!
