Photographers talk a lot about ‘Golden Hour’, so you may have heard of it on instagram or from any photographers or wedding blogs you follow. But do you know exactly what golden hour is?
Is golden hour something we should consider when I’m booking a wedding photographer? What can we do to give ourselves the best chance of getting amazing golden hour wedding pics?
So often we hear about “wedding stress” that it’s almost taken as a given: you should expect wedding planning to be stressful. I think this is a dangerous perception, as wedding planning can be difficult, but it shouldn’t have an impact on your mental health.

On International Women’s Day, I felt this was worth talking about more than anything else a wedding blog could cover. It’s a message we need to absorb, share and repeat again and again. Because the answer is very often no. Wedding photographers aren’t safe at weddings. Shockingly often, female, trans and non binary wedding photographers are bullied, harassed, threatened and assaulted.
