We like to be the unusual wedding website… the one that says, you can do this whole thing YOUR way! So here’s a wedding we love, and we hope you will too! Let’s just say… it will keep you grounded as you plan your day…
York Place Studios have been a part of English Wedding for years. They keep us real – amongst all the wedding fluff and styling, it’s good to remember that weddings are these amazing parties we throw for our absolute best people, to celebrate our love and commitment. And of all the wedding photographers in the UK, York Place seem to capture the authenticity of every celebration brilliantly. It’s the love that matters, right?
It feels nice to be sharing this blog, sent in by Tracey Warbey Photography, before the summer season of weddings gets underway. Lovely Tracey’s a member of English Wedding and a wedding photographer in Cornwall. She posted her favourite wedding pics of 2022 on her blog, and I asked if we could share them too! Here are some of my faves, with a little write up from Tracey. Enjoy!

The months seem to fly by so quickly… It really doesn’t seem like twelve months ago and I was completing my last round up of the year, but here I am again!
I had an email the other week from a lovely person called Adele, who’s recently launched her business hiring out sustainable wedding games.

The idea came up when she looked back on her childhood. “On a Sunday evening we would all get together as a family at my grandparents’ house and play games such as dominoes and tops & tails. When you are attending big events like weddings, it can be quite daunting for some children and adults but the games can provide a really relaxed atmosphere. You can’t just buy these either so it inspired me to look at other games and think how can we make them bigger and more sustainable which is really important to me.”
It’s not often we say you “need” anything for your wedding! We’re a bit different like that at English Wedding. Your wedding should be YOU – and no other rules apply. Say your ‘I dos’ privately on top of a mountain, or in your living room, or have a massive ‘do’ with everyone you know. You do you.
However (you knew there was a but coming, didn’t you?) if you’re having a few people at your wedding, and you’re thinking about photos and specifically group shots – you will be needing these group photo hacks to make it nice and easy!
It’s a common misconception that buying an engagement or wedding ring on a budget means you can’t buy sustainably and ethically. English Wedding members Jacqueline & Edward are here to bust that myth and show you how you how you can buy affordably without compromising on quality or your eco values.
