Modern Rustic Barn Wedding inspiration from the Garden of England

Published by Claire Gould on

Hello lovely! Welcome to Monday, and to some amazing wedding inspiration with a sustainable vibe from lovely Mercedes at 4YaParty Weddings & Events. We are in LOVE with the flowers, the stunning cake, the cute-as-can be couple and the elegant styling touches. Oh, and including sustainable styling from cruelty free make up to home grown flowers is a MUST! Even the wedding outfits are pre-loved!

Enjoy this beauty of a shoot both here and on our insta. Over to Mercedes to explain how it all came together!

My vision for this wedding styled shoot was to show that rustic weddings can have a modern twist and be sustainable.

I also wanted to demonstrate fun ways to include our beloved pets that make up such a huge part of our families!

The location for this sustainable shoot was at a gorgeous new wedding venue in The Garden of England; Sevenoaks, Kent, named Great Budds House. It consists of a gorgeous rustic barn and beautifully kept grounds so there is enough space to put a marquee or tipi up too.

When it comes to the styling, 4YaParty Weddings & Events specialises in Rustic styling.

For this shoot I decided to bring a modern twist to it using glass charger plates, gold cutlery and glass goblets for the tablescape provided by Black Saucers Tableware. I decided on a deep forest green to bring the outdoors in with gold as the accent colour.

This shoot, just like our small business is inspired by sustainability using reusable decor, reclaimed wood picnic tables and upcycled and salvaged props and recyclable stationery. All filled with lush foliage inspired by the great garden of England that is Kent.

Keeping with the sustainable energy the outfits for both the groom and bride were pre-loved from Love it again Bridal and our bride model was flawlessly made up by our hair and makeup artist Natalie using cruelty free makeup.

The jewellery and hair pieces were handmade by Bish Bosh Becca and matched the vintage dress perfectly!

Our secondary focus for this shoot was on showing different ways you could include your four legged family members in your big day! We had a horse attend the ceremony and a variety of dogs attend our shoot including support from Here comes the hound.

Our pets are a huge deal to our families and with the help of a company such as Here Comes The Hound they can be a big part of our big day!

Did you see the dog lead? This amazing floral dog lead was by Eliza Rose Florist and it was a real beaut! Could you see your pup walking down the aisle with such a beautiful lead?

If you’re looking for a sustainable wedding that brings the outdoors in then don’t hesitate to contact any of the suppliers involved in this amazing shoot!
