Planning a wedding is exciting and can be utterly overwhelming at times. There’s a reason why wedding planners exist: bringing beautiful occasions to life takes endless hours of hard work and meticulous event management. I’ve always had a huge admiration for those wonderful humans who make planning weddings their career.

We are head over heels in LOVE with this gorgeous styled shoot at Kelham Island Museum with real life couple Richard and David. The guys are gorgeous, the styling is dark and decadent with lush greenery and dramatic tones. Stunning stationery sets the scene and an enchanting array of sweet treats looks wonderfully tempting. Richard and David look amazing, rocking Master Debonair suits – and David’s gold crown is an absolute showstopper. Before we dive in, let me say we don’t get nearly enough LGBTQ+ weddings and shoots in our submissions inbox. Today is making us incredibly happy – and we want to see more! Huge thanks to lovely Sam, English Wedding member at Fantail Designer Florist, for sending this in. There’s a full supplier list below for all of you Yorkshire couples!

A lovely autumnal Hull wedding, full of fabulous warm colours and happy vibes. The ceremony at Hull Minster is amazing – and the village hall reception styling is just perfect. If you’re planning an autumn wedding and looking for ideas, keep scrolling! Chris and Nicky are gorgeous – and the way they’ve styled their day just works beautifully. Images are by new English Wedding member and experienced Hull Minster wedding photographer Abraham Photography.

We do love planet-friendly, sustainable weddings! This lovely and super useful article to help you plan your eco-friendly wedding was written for English Wedding by Hampshire wedding photographer Sarah Hoyle

If you are planning your wedding this year, you might be well aware that it can actually have a huge impact on the environment. There are lots of things only used once for the day and at high cost. You may be feeling the pressure to fly guests in from abroad and also to fulfil a more traditional idea of a dress or suit, or flowers.

We love weddings! We’re excited for all of you lovely people out there planning your weddings. Enjoy the adventure… and along the way, let’s do our very best to reduce weddings’ impact on the world around us.

As joyful as they are, weddings can be big, expensive, wasteful and stressful events. Much of the wedding media is focused on things to buy for weddings – and we want to change that.

A wedding is a happy celebration with origins as old as time: humans have been falling in love since we got here.
