Why Shape and Style Matter

A guest article by English Wedding member Bespoke Diamonds

When it comes to engagement rings, the sparkle might catch your eye—but the shape and style are what truly make it yours. Think of your ring like the perfect outfit: tailored to suit your proportions, flatter your features, and express your personality.

Your hands deserve the same consideration. Whether your fingers are long, short, slender or strong, the right diamond cut and band style can enhance your natural shape in all the best ways.

The very name English Wedding makes people think of stately homes and glamorous celebrations, when it really wasn’t the case when we launched 15 years ago (I was thinking more rebellious Kate Moss and Vivienne Westwood, but there you go)! I’ve been lucky to share hundreds of luxury weddings since then, and I’ll admit a fondness for wedding venues with understated elegance and rolling acres of gardens and hills. If you’re dreaming of saying “I do” in one of England’s castles or luxury country house wedding venues, you’re in good company – lots of modern couples are looking for stylish and timeless wedding venues. Picture this: a grand old manor all to yourselves, historic charm, and a beautiful story to tell.

Bespoke poetry can be a wonderful way to tell your story but how do you find a really good poet? A guest article by bespoke wedding poet Kathryn Anna Marshall

What do you want to remember from your wedding day? Cake? Flowers? Chair swags? I didn’t think so. All of these elements have a part to play in your big day but more and more couples are looking for a wedding day that just feels more “them”. A lot of this is about the fact that many wedding traditions belong to our grandparents’ generation, a time when a wedding was between a man and a woman, who lived in separate homes before the big day and a time when a wedding was more about doing what was required than celebrating love.

Today’s wedding is timeless, fabulously warm and sunny, utterly beautiful and filled with personality. Lucy and Alex were married on the Isle of Wight, choosing documentary wedding photographer SJ Jones Photography to capture their day at the Royal Hotel. The couple look amazing, the styling is elegant and with super cute personal touches. Oh, and the views are absolutely out of this world!
