If it’s a trend, I want to make this one stick around forever. The personal touch is everything in weddings right now. From natural wedding photos to sustainable styling and artful, organic floral design, couples are looking for meaningful touches to make weddings unforgettable.

The lean towards authentic and hand made weddings is a wonderful thing. With tech overload from social media piling the pressure onto wedding planning, AI worming its way into wedding speech writing and print factories muscling in on wedding invites, the backlash is real. Couples are taking time to seek out beautiful, handmade pieces for their weddings.

Few bridal accessories possess the poetic grace and enduring allure of drop pearl earrings. With their fluid elegance and understated opulence, they have long been favoured by brides seeking a refined, timeless expression of beauty. Neither ostentatious nor fleeting, drop pearl earrings combine tradition, femininity, and a quiet luxury that transcends fashion trends. If you’re a bride who understands that true elegance lies in simplicity, they will be your ultimate finishing touch.

You absolutely can’t overestimate how important music will be at your wedding. A backdrop or soundscape for your ceremony, afternoon and evening will play a huge part in how your day feels. More than that – your wedding music will add layers of excitement, tranquility, playfulness or joy through the day. Key songs will bring memories flooding back – and all of the emotions along with them. All you need is indeed love… and a damn good wedding soundtrack!

This photoshoot was made to inspire your creativity, music lovers! The dreamy colour palette and 70s music scene nostalgia run through every element, and it’s utterly fabulous. As always, I’ll share my favourite images on instagram @englishweddingblog – see you there!

It’s been a lovely morning for me reading all about Emma and Tom’s wedding, which was a real family affair. From mum Joanne’s exquisite cake and flower skills, helped by Emma and family friend Sue, to Emma’s “something borrowed” diamond necklace and rings from uncle David and auntie Angela who own Spencer the Jeweller, family played a huge part in the day. Emma owns a candle business and guests were given beautifully scented soy candles as favours, and the same candles were lit around the venue, giving off a beautiful scent of lavender and bergamot.
