“Our brides are our inspiration” – sustainable wedding dresses by Indiebride London

Published by Claire Gould on

Brides around the UK are discovering a new era of wedding dresses, and it’s the loveliest trend we’ve EVER seen! There’s something really special about having a dress made for you – and there’s a new, planet-friendly way to make this happen.

Indiebride London is at the forefront of a movement right now, where ethically minded brides can have their dress made bespoke, and from sustainable, beautiful fabrics. Owner Miina is passionate about encouraging brides to consider every element of their wedding dress journey, showcasing the fact that a bridal gown can be designed and made while valuing the environment.

From sourcing materials to the alterations, every element of the Indiebride wedding dress making process is carefully considered and delivered with exceptional customer service. Their exquisite laces, silk, bamboo and Tencel lyocell used throughout their designs are manufactured and sourced locally in the UK. Indiebride London wedding gowns are made-to-order, avoiding any unused dresses held in stock, with any off-cuts actively recycled and reused.

Our handmade wedding dresses are designed for cool, free-spirited women who don’t give a damn what anyone else thinks. They’re for women who want to feel like themselves, but on their wedding day. We don’t compromise on comfort or confidence, which is why we don’t follow trends – our brides are our inspiration

The Indiebride look is romantic and bohemian, with comfort a priority for modern UK brides. Craftsmanship is key, and bespoke wedding dress designs are available, meaning brides can add personal touches to their dresses, and alter styles to suit their tastes.

“Indiebride London is all about easy-to-wear, soft-structure bohemian wedding dresses with a subtle dash of vintage vibes,” says Miina, Director at Indiebride London. “We are a sustainable bridalwear brand and deeply pride ourselves in the personal service we provide alongside our beautiful handmade gowns.”

Hi, I'm Claire, the editor of English Wedding. I've been sharing real weddings, planning advice and styled editorials by amazing wedding suppliers for more than ten years. As a supplier myself, I launched English Wedding as a platform for UK wedding businesses to stay visible online, publishing their beautiful work in a meaningful way - because I see how deeply suppliers care about everything they do. English Wedding has evolved to support a slower, more sustainable kind of visibility for wedding suppliers. Being published here protects your brand voice while helping couples discover your business, building trust through consistent features over time.
