Zoe & Jonathan’s Liverpool wedding, with Christy Photography

I’ve really been looking forward to sharing today’s wedding with you – it’s a lovely, intimate, fusion wedding in Liverpool sent in by Christy Photography, a North West wedding photographer from Manchester. Zoe & Jonathan look amazing – I smiled when I read in their English Wedding interview that they’re both camera shy – the images of their day are so beautiful you would never know! Reading their review for their lovely photographer, it’s clear this is because they were relaxed around the camera, simply enjoying their best day – and it’s utterly wonderful.

Our wedding photography
Christy Sisi Yan We were lucky to have come across Christy on an online search for a photographer for our special day. Christy had the style of photography that we wanted so we decided to book in both a pre-wedding and the wedding photography with her. Christy is such a lovely photographer with some great ideas during the shoot and on the day, she really made us feel at ease even though we both are fairly camera shy. She had captured the day exactly the way we had hoped. We loved our photos and our experience with Christy and couldn’t imagine having a better photographer!

Our wedding venue
Liverpool Town Hall
We had our ceremony here in the small ballroom. The venue was beautiful with grand stairs, the guests loved taking photos at the balcony which gave a cute city view over Liverpool.
Love Lane Brewery (Liverpool) We held our dinner reception at Love Lane. It was cosy (with the deco of a modern pub) and fun with brewery room as a highlight. We had an amazing experience with the staff during the planning stages leading up to the big day and even better so on the actual day as we felt like both us and the guests were so well looked after. The kitchen team were fantastic and super attentive to the dietary requirements we had given.

Our wedding outfits
Zoe – My wedding dress was from a little boutique called Angelica Bridal tucked away on Camden Passage in London. It was a shop I’d walked past all the time over many years, admiring the window shop display that changed up now and then. I fell in love with this dress for the beautiful brocade fabric and the stunning train.
Jonathan – My suit was my favourite colour, green! (from Moss Bros.)
We took up the hefty task of arranging our own flowers (bouquets and venue decoration) with zero experience. Luckily we had the lovely staff over at Liverpool Wholesale Flowers who helped us with what flowers were suitable and what to order. We had beautiful flowers on the day and my favourite peonies as my bridal bouquet.
This gorgeous reel by Jon at Red Seats Video in Manchester really captures the atmosphere and emotion from Zoe & Jonathan’s beautiful Liverpool wedding.
