In case you need springtime vibes… glorious yellows from Ayrshire’s loveliest wedding suppliers

English Wedding exists to shine a light on the work of talented and dedicated UK wedding suppliers. Those I’m sharing with you today are some of the loveliest, most creative and hardworking people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. The team behind this styled editorial photoshoot transformed a charming old church just south of Ayr into a Sicilian garden setting perfect for a summer wedding!
When wedding suppliers get to play together, magic happens. This is why styled shoots will always have my heart.

The team behind this gorgeous styling work together beautifully: Hannah Hall is a Lake District-based wedding photographer who captures the light and shadow of the sunny day like a magician – and the details shine, as does the love between model couple Eve and Callum (The Madeleys).

I’ve worked with super talented photographer Hannah personally, both here at English Wedding where she’s one of our lovely wedding photographer members, and across Cumbria on styled shoots where she’s one of the hardest working wedding creatives I’ve known – all this as well as being an amazing person to be around.

Callum’s lovely suit is from Slaters. Eve wears two outfits: a beautiful, relaxed, couture-made jumpsuit by Kathleen Richmond Couture, and a stunning off-the-shoulder dress by Veni Infantino, from Kathleen Richmond‘s beautiful boutique in Ayrshire. The intricate craftsmanship in Vivi Embellish Bridal‘s headpieces finishes her look perfectly.

The floral styling blows my mind: the sunny yellows in Tass Florals‘ joyful bouquet are utterly wonderful. The table styling with olive branches and rosemary is inspired: a simple concept, made beautiful by layering the leaves and incorporating even more texture with table runners. The glassware sparkles in the sunlight, casting tiny rays of sunshine onto the foliage-drenched tablescape.

Candelabras add grandeur with dripping wax candles for a timeless look. I do love seeing vintage brass candlesticks alongside modern styling elements: rich green ceramic plates and modern cutlery, along with cut glass vessels and calligraphy place names. The lemons peeking from the foliage are a touch of fun, and a simple and affordable way to add colour and elevate scent. (I just realised what a perfect blog this is to share just in time for pancake day!) The look was created and brought to life by mother and daughter team Artisan Weddings Ayrshire and Velvet Apple Events. Between them, they provide a bespoke wedding planning service along with wedding venue styling and prop hire.

A last, glorious splash of lemon yellow comes with the fabulous tiered cake by the very fabulous Snowdrop Wedding Cakes. Beautiful sugar blossom and peace lilies with delicate leaves, actual lemons and Little Acorn Silks’ softly draped silk ribbon in a rich golden yellow bring warmth and joy to the summery Sicilian styling.

The final touch – and honestly, I almost forgot to mention my own little contribution: delicate modern calligraphy on handwritten menus painted with olive branches, with lemon yellow curled place names, placed onto individual glasses at each place setting.

You would never believe that all of this took place on an icy November day in Scotland, would you? That’s the power of talented wedding stylists and creative teams – working together to create a cohesive look, embracing a theme across every element of wedding styling and working together so beautifully.
