I will always love you – a styled inspiration photoshoot from Spain

Published by Claire Gould on

A treat for you today – we’re sharing nineties inspired wedding style from a group of talented Spanish wedding suppliers.
The setting: a nineteenth century mansion just outside Barcelona.
The vibe: Hollywood elegance with a twentieth century twist!

The 90s were the inspiration for this editorial photoshoot, an era that continues to drive trends in 2024. Thinking back to the nineties made us think of the song “I Will Always Love You” sung by Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard. We took inspiration from all the glamour of this film to create a styled wedding.

We knew that there was no better location than “Finca Mas Solers”, a Catalan Renaissance-style mansion from the late 19th century that housed, during its golden age, the old Grand Casino of Barcelona. Surrounded by all the glamour, but also by the nature and sun of the wonderful Mediterranean coast, this imagined love story unfolds there. Our model bride, accompanied by her little son making her dream come true.

The decor takes inspiration from the most classic part of the 90s, where monochrome was an overriding wedding trend. Styling touches are all in black and white with a modern twist incorporating minimalism and a flirty touch, two very strong trends.

Of course, there was no shortage of a good vintage-style cake, with the classic “Just Married” and the disco balls at the end of the night, reminiscent of this epic party era, with the cake table surrounded by pretty flowers

With sustainability in mind, all flowers are seasonal, and from local suppliers. They brought an extra layer of elegance and sophistication to the day.

Carol wears a minimalist but voluminous dress with a fluid A-shaped silhouette. The luxurious fabric creates a timeless and elegant look, perfect for a romantic evening without any adornment, giving prominence to the accessories. A bridal cape with flower details was perfect for a ceremony look. Gloves with a touch of glam are perfect for daytime, and for the evening party a mini dress and feather crown transform our model bride into a true queen.

The bridesmaids, dressed in black, wore fabric corsages, instead of the typical ones made of natural flowers, continuing with our commitment to sustainability. The groom and best man wore classic tuxedos, adding an element of luxe and sophistication to the celebration.

The party  aspect of our photoshoot was styled with classic disco balls. Nothing screams Nineties more than disco balls! In addition, we filled the dance floor with bubbles!

The Mediterranean sun, the nature, the joy that everything in Barcelona has, the good food, the glamour of the place and the endless parties are present in this wedding destination that invites us to dream of our perfect wedding and to find that love that will take us to say: I will always love you.
