Our Videographer Oliver was amazing, were so pleased with our wedding video, we watched the whole thing on our 1 year anniversary. It was one of the best decisions we made having Oliver!

Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?

We got married at The Green, Cornwall. The venue was stunning, lots of lovely cottages for our guests to stay in after the long drive from London. The venue is beautiful with incredible views and lots of different options for the ceremony. The team were fab!

Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?

The dress shopping experience was one of my favourite things, I had such a special day. I found my dress in a boutique called Dress Dreams Bridal and my dress was by the designer Viero. I felt so special and loved every second, from the prosecco to trying on all the dresses everything was perfect!

Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness

We had a family friend do our flowers and she had never done a wedding before, she did an amazing job! She dressed the whole venue by herself and put in a huge amount of work!

Did you hire a wedding planner?

Our wedding planner was Catherine provided by our venue, she was so calming and on the day she took charge of everything which meant all we had to do was follow her lead and enjoy every second.

As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?

Our wedding cake was a three tier semi naked cake with bunting and real flowers to decorate, the cake was cherry bakewell for the bottom tier, white chocolate and raspberry for the middle and Victoria sponge on top. It tasted amazing and looked stunning!

Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves

We made a lot of the decorations ourselves, we had candles in the centre pieces on blocks of wood, within the candle jars we tied twine around the top and filled them with sand from a local beach. We also made 600 pom poms from wool to use as a confetti. We hand made the place settings, table seating chart and menus.

Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?

We decided to go for the short and sweet vows but they were perfect!

What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?

We chose Perfect by Ed Sheeran ft Beyoncé for our our first dance, it’s just so romantic.
